What a find! I love an overgrown cemetery with park vibes. I was searching for some shade in the scorching London sun when I stumbled upon this park (which I’m sure everyone else already knows). To my astonishment it was also an old cemetery. Next time I’m in the vicinity I’ll make sure I have more time to browse the old head stones and enjoy the wildlife.

When the cemetery is closed I wish you’d put a note on both gates as it saves walking round to be disappointed- I’d have gone elsewhere had a note been displayed on the main entrance. It’s such a waist of dog walking time.

I visited here in April 2022 as part of walking the Capital Ring route. This is a peaceful place to walk despite being beside a busy road. It has some interesting memorials to see while you explore.

Nice walk around this cemetery, very interesting to look at all the old graves. Nice and peaceful.

The most beautiful spot for an urban, autumnal stroll. Adults and kids alike enjoy getting lost down the meandering paths. Hard to believe this quiet, tranquil woods is in the middle of a bustling London borough.

Cute cemetery with lots of history and architecture. Some very interesting people buried here, used to be a private cemetery. Zookeepera, actresses, all sorts you just have to go digging (please not literally). Lots of fun facts about the woodlands and birds which I found pleasant and wholesome for the soul.

Rambling and overrun, with endless rows of wonky gravestones. Densely packed with crumbling monuments but also there’s a clear love of wildlife shown by the keepers, who’ve usefully labelled some “star” trees with descriptions of what they are, where they come from and what’s happened to them over the years; each tree has a story. Easy to get to location too (if you come by bus) with a lovely cafe not too far away that sells delicious spicy beef empanadas... just can’t remember the name!

Peaceful, historic, curious, war memorial and family resting place. Nature and different birds, trees, plants and flowers creates a calming and relaxation effect. There are benches and alot of dog walkers if you fancy taking your pooch out for a walk. Beautiful church/Chapel in the centre designed of a cross.

Beautiful place in a heart of London. But I don't understand people who walk with their dogs around the cemetery. people leave dog poop.
