Penn Hospital
As someone who lives with severe depression and anxiety, Penn hospital and their home treatment team have made a huge difference to my life. The care and support they’ve shown me has done more for me that they’ll ever know. The staff are amazing and willing to help with everything I needed to get back to a good place in my life. I’ll always appreciate and remember what they’ve done for me.❤️ Ravneet Kaur

Penn Hospital
A hospital that is extremely unhelpful, spoke to Vivian (Complex Care Team), Janet (Medical Secretary of Consultant Dr. Singh) , Gemma & Siliva (Both refuse to mention which dept. they work in claiming they can't disclose anything because due to confidentiality). A hospital that is extremely mismanaged & could do with a clear out from top down....

They're card only with no idea when they will start excepting cash again. I walked to them. They won't even except a act change. I get that digital Till can break but there should be a back up system in place.

At Penn Hospital we have one inpatient ward where we give 24-hour care and support to older people with mental health needs such as dementia, depression, and anxiety. We take referrals from Wolverhampton Hospital hospital wards, casualty, residential or private care homes, social workers, community nurses, and staff at our own services.Referrals always come from health professionals, and all referrals go to our consultant psychiatrists.

(Brook ward),most of staff take time to help patients, there's only one member of staff (dawn baker) who made more of an effort and time to listen to patients and helped as much as she could, activities were offered but was limited due to missing items or damaged, food has improved since last time. I'm in for the second time this year and it has improved alot, I can honestly say I'm pleased with my treatment second time around.

Called Penn hospital 6 times today before I eventually got through. The reception staff are the worse I’ve ever known anywhere, I’ve been sat in reception before and they just let the phone ring continuously while they chat. Shocking!

I stayed at Penn Hospital when it was Juniper Ward for women back in March 2011. The staff were friendly and helpful. It seemed a scary place at first. I soon got better and i was given a care plan and even a little celebration with a few other patients ready for my departure. I couldn't wait to go back to my family but had i not been bought in i may not be alive today. I love my therapy courses that i have through the outpatient complex care team. They are extremely helpful. The only fault i have with the service is the Crisis Team and i am not the only patient to complain. You are advised to just relax and listen to music, etc when you are telling them you don't feel sound minded and twice now my husband has found me attempting to take my own life and the crisis team just weren't interested. They expected my husband to care for me which just isn't on as he isn't qualified or paid to do the job the crisis team should be doing. Even a social worker called after i was found with a ligature but because i was alive and with her and my husband they didn't feel i needed their service (which is a disgrace). I never call the crisis team now because i feel patronized and many patients feel this way. That may be why suicide is on the rise because many don't reach out because they feel they are just an inconvienience. We have been told there are no beds on many occasions. You practically have to beg to be sectioned in order to be safe and it wasnt like that before. My Dr is amazing i can't thank him enough for his support. I just feel the crisis team let mental health services down and that's a shame.

I wish I could give them a zero star but it won't let me leave a review else. They haven't been to see my father in law ounce even though he has brain damage which has left him to be aggresssive. Instead they gave him some weird blue pill and haven't check up on how they are working for him In 6 months. Ao this escalated this week end where he harmed his partner and they did nothing about it even though we begging them for months to review him we even had to beg them for scan results on his brain which as we believe he has the early stages of dementia as he cannot remember what hea doing. This scan results have been lost and we do not have answers to what's happening today and they will not give him his results instead discharged him knowing he could be a risk to this lady upto the point he physically attacked her as night. Only to be told by a snotty nurse what do you want me to do about it" and here's a complaints number
