Lovely atmospheric bar. Great selection of real ales & ciders. It was very quiet but will visit again when there is some live music on.

Everything is home cooked by the owner - it's delicious.The prices are very good, and the staff are very friendly.The peaceful courtyard is a characterful lovely sun-trap on a summer day.

Dogs are allowed at the front part of the bar, there is a cat in the main bar. The atmosphere is great with lots of antiques being sold and advertised as well as paintings and prints. The real ales and lagers are from local breweries, the staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is great, very relaxing. I love being able to see the mechanism of the mill. There is a group of musicians here and apparently this is the first time they are having folk music here. Let's see how it goes. Definitely recommend and we are already planning our next visit.

Lovely. Fell on this bar by accident. Was only going for a walk. Had hired a canal boat. Friendly barman. Great ciders ales etc. So friendly. Great experience. Friendly clientele. Enjoyed. Definately will return in camper and stay at local caravan park.

Well I just dropped by to see if this place was still open and found myself in an evening of music and great food. The sharing platter was very good, and the band were too Kill me Kate" I believe they were. Oh I forgot the beer selection was very good too."

A marvelous atmosphere. I went there on the Folk/Accoustic Night, which was very inclusive, with everyone joining in the singing. John the friendly landlord brews the beer himself. And oh! the beer!. No telly or gaming machines, thank god! It is like a step back in time.

We went in on a Friday night to listen to the locals get together playing great music. Good local beer. Friendly bar man.

Love this cosy lil micropub. Lovely owners and amazing beers and ciders. Worth a visit!******This was my review for the previous owners" and does NOT represent the current place.The atmosphere of this place is now sadly gone. Cafe and antiques shop were closed. We walked into the bar and saw a cocky looking young guy and walked back out. It is sad we won't be walking to this place
