Techfor Energy supplied and installed a 4Kw solar panel installation in May 2013. Since then it has operated successfully. The installation was carried out in one day including 16 panels and the inverter and related equipment. I have no qualms recommending them.

I had solar panels fitted by tech for energy getting on for 8 years ago. I chose tech for energy over 2 other companies because Glen was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the products and technology and never once tried to sell me the whole FIT payments it was all about the product and great as a small company.Glen and his team were absolutely fantastic and has demonstrated that today I had a problem with my WI FI called me back talked me through the problem and back up and running. Would 100% recommend absolutely brilliant service.

Solar and Tesla Battery InstallationTechfor energy was recommended to me by my neighbour who had a solar pv system fitted by them. I contacted them and Glen came out and did a thorough survey, and gave advice as to what would be the best system for us. We wanted to be able to go off grid as much as possible. Heat our water, charge EVs, and store excess energy. So quote accepted, we went ahead. The install team were polite, friendly, and professional. 100% happy! We achieve everything we want from our system. So when the sun shines we can heat our water ( A new water cylinder with bottom fed immersion heater required). Charge the Tesla powerwall battery, and charge an EV. A Zappi charger allows fast charging off the grid and a slower charge from solar energy. On a cloudy day, obviously energy production is less. 5kw/h on a sunny summer day max. 0.5 to 1.5 kw/h on a cloudy day. We can still run the house and charge the battery, and some water heating. Not enough for an EV charge. Winter time will be less obviously. So far in 6 weeks we have not used any energy from the grid. We use the battery at night and morning until the sun does its job. We are on Intelligent Octopus for off peak energy at night 7p/kw/h, so we can charge an EV cheap rate if we need to. Outgoing octopus for exported energy. 15p/kw/h. Glen advised us on all of the above, and we are extremely happy. Thanks Glen. One of the best things we have spent our money on. I highly recommend Techfor energy to anybody thinking of having a solar pv system fitted.

PV Installation - Professional, Professional, Professional, Great ResultContacted Techfor regarding installation of PV and battery. After an initial very informative phone call a site visit was ordered which resulted in an extremely detailed quotation covering panel and battery installation, expected output and costs (which took into account the challenge of installation on a slate roof). Having accepted the quote, installation date was swiftly agreed. Scaffolding erected and the installation team turned up on schedule. They carried out the installation very professionally and by a very friendly and personable team. We still await the battery which is on long lead time from Tesla but the system is up and performing as forecast. Overall we are extremely happy with all stages of the process that were all performed with great professionalism. We would have no hesitation in recommending Techfor

Techfor Energy installed my solar panels in January 2014. In July and August 2023, on selling my house, my buyer's solicitors had lots of questions, some of which I could not answer. Despite there being no new business in it, Glenn Ashby was always courteous and extremely helpful answering the solicitor's questions, including emailing a certificate in under 30 minutes from the time I spoke to him when the solicitor asked for it at the eleventh hour before exchange. Outstanding customer service. And the solar panels have been great over the last 9 1/2 years as well!

We had quotes from a number of companies for our solar installation, but were impressed both by the professionalism and knowledge of Techfor Energy. Their quote was competitive so we agreed they would install a 16 panel system with Eddi water heater and Tesla battery. The installation team worked well and cleanly. Tesla batteries are on a very long lead time, but the rest of the system is working well and exceeding expectations after two months. I would strongly recommend Techfor Energy for anyone considering a solar panel installation.

Glenn at Techfor Energy cannot accept criticism and lies to cover his back. Having paid over £30k for a solar system he claimed he had phoned me to commission the system. I had no missed calls no voicemail and no emails. Even if I had missed a message having spent over £30k you might think he'd try again ...The other negative reviews seem to corroborate that if you question this man he gets the hump and sulks.He offers no support will not expand the system and simply refers on to Tesla support.If I didn't believe the installation was good I wouldn't be asking him to expand the system despite his patronising and unpleasant approach.Ultimately a spiteful and petty man who took £30k + and then put 2 fingers up to meUPDATE ********Glenn thinks expecting a solar system to be commissioned and expecting a professional service is bullying.There were no workmen who were not electrically qualified working anywhere near the system. He was asked to commission the system (obviously the mains electricity was on all the time) but refused. It was not for him to refuse to commission the system. We all work around electrical systems all the time. Undeniable arrogance.***** And best to not double down on your lies Glenn. He obviously takes on more work than he has time for. There were NO phonecalls ATALL. Why not send an email or text? Because he didn't call. THIS IS A BAREFACED LIE. Whether he was upset because I was annoyed they wouldn't commission the system or simple negligence he did not follow up atall until he was asked to.Overall if you expect courtesy and professionalism and good communication go elsewhere. The quality of work is good but non existent after sales care.

Excellent company, I have worked with Techfor Energy twice. They installed my first solar system in 2013 and I have been so pleased with it that I asked them to upgrade and augment the system in 2023. After a thorough survey (not a sales pitch) I went with Glenns advice and now have a system that charges my car, heats my water and stores excess energy for overnight use with green energy. The quote was detailed and easy to understand. The team were very polite, professional and efficient. always on time and tidy. They have also been available for rare after sales queries.I am delighted with my seamless system. Completely off grid for most of the year I will look to Techforenergy for advice on future developments in solar technology. I recommend them to anyone interested in solar systems. A top-rated survey which really did highlight everything that was needed for the installation.A couple of months after the survey and it was our turn to be installed - the team were professional, polite, effective and friendly.We have been on our ‘own power’ and really getting a return straight away I think one of the smartest decisions we made. Installation of solar in September 2021 and now, finally(!) the power wall in June 2022. Fully appreciate the delays in the powerwall were outside the control of Techfor, and once they had it, it was on our wall in a matter of days. Overall the installation is doing what we were told it would so we are very satisfied with the end result / performance to date. (81% energy independent since installation...Autumn / Winter / Spring so far...and the powerwall will only improve that in the future.)Not the cheap option, but went for longer term reliability over initial cost saving.
