Laura Dawson Make up

Laura did all the makeup for my daughters wedding which included bride, 5 bridesmaids, mother of the bride. We were all delighted with our makeup and she even did the flower girl, my youngest granddaughter. All makeup was age appropriate. Laura was wonderful. Laura was my chosen make up artist on my wedding day and I can’t rate her highly enough.. she did makeup for nine of my bridal party, from my bridesmaids through to my mum and gran throughout the morning, and everyone looked genuinely amazing, but completely themselves. She is a good listener and asks questions to make sure she is giving clients what they want, as well as making good suggestions, and my makeup felt natural but very glamorous too- perfectly bridal! It is very hard to find a make up artist who makes you feel like ‘you’ but Laura achieves it perfectly. She is also a great calming influence on the day, nothing phases her, she is brilliant. Five stars, would suggest to any bride to go ahead and book Laura!

I have been going to Laura for over 10 years. She done my wedding make up, I’ve had a lesson with her, make up done for special occasions including a zombie face for a themed wedding! She is an absolute pro & make up is always gorgeous. Very interested in her brows now as well, the results I’ve seen are fantastic. Highly recommend

Laura is someone I've known a while and knowing what I know about how hard she works for every client and her amazing reputation for creating beautiful brides I knew this would be my first and only choice for the big day.My main considerations were:1. I'm not a big make up person so trying to decide what I wanted was hard.This was not an issue with Laura as she knows exactly what colours will work on each person's unique skin tone, hair, eye colour combination. (Check out her videos on this on her YouTube channel). I didn't have to think, Laura took care of it all.2.I'm 40 this year so I'm not into some of the latest trends and fads. Make up can be so focussed on latest trends and aimed at younger women that the 40+ crowd often get overlooked and I didn't want to end up looking like I was trying to look 20 again. Sooo not an issue with Laura.Laura is an expert on older skin so I didn't have to even worry about that at all. I looked like me but turned up to 11.Make up aside though, we had a brilliant laugh and Laura's warmth and hilarious sense of humour makes her really fun and easy to be around. On a day that's quite nerve inducing this was the vibe we all needed.Thank you Laura for making this day incredibly special, making all of us look and feel stunning and giving me the confidence to smile all the way down the aisle and beyond.Love ya xxx

I was a bridesmaid for Dominant Mindset Coaching, and the bride engaged the services of Laura for her special day. Being someone who very rarely wears any makeup at all, and has very little self confidence with regard to my appearance I am usually quite apprehensive about having my makeup attended to by anyone. However, I felt reassured that Laura would work her 'magic' as she was the bride's first and only choice.Within the first few moments Laura put me at ease by complimenting my 'youthful looking' skin, which immediately made me feel super pleased. I explained that I had very little experience of what shades/colours would suit me as a mature woman and left that to Laura, the expert. As Laura worked away, I could feel my confidence building with every new addition. To say I was delighted with the results is an understatement. I felt more confident and self assured than I have done in a very long time, and I actually enjoyed having photographs taken, both during and after makeup application.Laura's magic touch inspired me to be my best self on that special day, as I am normally a very shy reserved person. I felt beautiful and had an energy I forgot I had. The compliments were lovely and I'm still getting them. Laura was the best make-up artist I could have asked for. My wedding make-up was flawless. She was so kind and thoughtful. She put everyone at ease the morning of. I never had a trial because I live overseas, but she really listened to what I was looking for. I can't recommend her highly enough.
