The Range, Sheffield

I was just served by an absolute HERO on the checkout at about 5:30pm. The poor chap was the only member of staff at the tills with 10 people queued up, so he took the initiative to operate several tills at once to serve all the customers as fast as possible. His efforts were a marvel of efficiency and led me to write this review as soon as I got home. The Range on meadow hall retail park need to give that man a promotion!

A good store for general household items including cleaning products . There is a cafe inside. They sell craft products at competitive prices, as well as pet supplies, also decorative items . Could do with a refresh.

As always for the range stores. Absolutely something for everyone of any age. The craft section is what I specifically went in for but couldn’t help having a wander around. Loads of craft items, I found everything I was looking for (and more)! All well organised and easy to find. Staff were helpful and efficient when needed. Store was kept in a generally clean and tidy state. Would definitely recommend and no doubt we will be visiting the store again!

There is always a good display of Christmas decorations here. The prices are reasonable and the staff are helpful. Parking is available just outside. I noticed Iceland Food have taken some space in this store (obviously a financial decision for both companies). They have a good selection of Halloween products too.

Only Alpine grit and lawn sand out of stock. I purchased 4xbags compost for £10. Brilliant

My wife and I visited this store today after having previous positive experiences at the Park Gate Rotherham store. (It's usually a shop that we always buy lots more than intended. )Today's visit, however, was a very disappointing experience, which left me frustrated and angry with the total lack of service and respect. Staff were rude, disrespectful and totally untrained in any sort of customer service. On asking for a price my wife was told to look on her phone and search for the item on the range website! Also when querying an overcharge on an item I was told by a female staff colleague that it wasn't her department, her fault, or her responsibility !!!! Come on The Range, get your act together and start putting the customer first . Good service is key to a successful business.

Always plenty to browse here and a huge selection of household goods from plates to sofas. Good craft section is always handy to visit it's often cheaper than Hobbycraft. They have a nice cafe if you wanna take a break and the customer toilets are always clean
