Always polite on phone when booking.Drivers OK and most of them chat with you and put you at ease.Always turn up .So yes thumbs up.

I used this firm for a taxi, I stopped at the darrington Hotel for a wedding and the hotel booked the taxi to the golf club around the corner about half of a mile away and the fare was £11!!!!That is a disgusting fee for such a short trip. I would recommend that no one uses this firm as you can walk this journey in less than 10 minutes, £11 for a 2 minute ride beggers belief.I would give less than a star if I could

Well I've seen it all now,l!!!!Action Cars Taxis, PontefractI booked a taxi to pick me up at 5pm to get home.No pre-warning of the taxi evenbeing dispatched or setting off to pick me up, to then get a phone call at 4:50pm telling me he was outside & wanted to know where I was. It was booked for 5pm!!!!But with it being dark at that time & there being no lights where I was, I just got in. Earlier than I should have.To then find out it's the same driver I banned from ever picking me up again more than twice & well over a month ago.The driver in question is seriously unsafe to use due to the seriously bad lack of driving capability, always driving in the centre of the road. Driving around roundabouts at a stupid speed.He never pays attention to the weather conditions & doesn't drive accordingly to these either. Even the basic road markings on the road to say which lane he's meant to use, obviously road markings don't apply to taxi's. He has used the same wrong lane on more than 2 occasions & on all occasions cutting up other road users who have the right of way. Always messing around with his phone (yes when driving!!!!)There is so much I could really say about the driver. I have obviously mentioned this to Action Cars a number of times now. But clearly their not bothered, so please everyone, especially at this time of the year do not get into a red Toyota reg DA55 AYAAction Cars have a really great post saying:Balancing safety with peak performance" REALLY!!!!Obviously not.........It would really help if this driver could see over the steering wheel. Because every time he needs to see the bonnet or anything in front of him

Couldn't provide no stars thus the 1 star reveiw. Company charges from where the driver starts to where you get picked up to where they drop off! Absolute joke! £10.40 for 1.6 miles... thought I'd have at least got a Jaguar. Dirty car and a driver talking on loud speaker for the full journey. Avoid like the plague!

I've used Action Cars for a long time with next to no complaints; but only now have I felt inclinded to write a review. I had an extremely friendly and accommodating driver today. I'm an extremely anxious person when it comes down to talking to drivers etc but Car/Driver number 4 provided such a comfortable and friendly atmosphere which proves Action Cars provides a fantastic service.

Top firm definitely a go to company now for short or long distances really nice staff in the office definitely a 5* and some for reliable service and Comfortable travel will recommend

Dangerous drivers who tailgate you. Overtake you into oncoming traffic because they're too important to wait, and then speed through villages in a 30mph zone, past kids on bikes and elderly people walking, with no regard for anyone, whilst holding a mobile phone.Nice company. Time for a driver review. Reg plate and licence number reported to council and police.Fingers crossed you don't get this guy driving a member of your family home...

Absolutely wonderful service from car no 4, super chatty and great to get on with while being driven to work, and never the awkward silence that you get in the car.

Used action cars for years only company I will use, I left my purse in a taxi other night it was a very expensive purse that’s I’d only just got for my birthday and the driver had found it and returned it to the office for me the next day as it was late the staff was extremely helpful in helping me find my purse and I’m so grateful to them… reliable, honest friendly taxi firm especially compared to other taxi company’s in the area 10000% recommend
