A girl called Ruth was one metro this morning I don't use metros she helped me n my children took us to central station where she works helped us find platform for our train very helpful.shevworks in Greggs in central station

Central Station
Central Station was a state of the art building in it's day of the highest quality. It's old now with tons of history, but it's still a magnificent building which is kept clean and tidy and is well run. It has several small shops and a cafe. The toilets are kept very clean. It has plenty of good quality regular trains to just about everywhere, and there's a handy entrance down into the Metro line which is also a great service with clean smart carriages. These give you great views of the River Tyne right down to the seaside.

Excellent train station. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Everything seems to be very efficient and signage is excellent

The staff here are always very polite and helpful. Not having much experience with the metro, the were happy to answer all questions and concerns that I had, and make sure I feel comfortable with my journey!

If you have no idea what a bog is...Visit the toilets in the Station .They were old when Jack Carter got of the train in 1970 and ain't improved since then.Platforms are badly signed for anyone who is not a local...Platforms 7 is an example, I was starting to think it was as invisible and ficticious as Harry Potter,s Platform 9 3/4Good points ...., very helpful staff and the Victoria Comet is just accoss the road

This station features a cool colour scheme exclusive to stations in Newcastle and is situated underneath Newcastle Railway Stations. It also has an exit to Neville Street where there are buses too.

The station was clean and tidy, there were plenty of ticket machines available in the concourse, there was also enough staff on hand to help.The service is regular, however due to the current aging fleet, there are issues with the reliability of services at the moment, with many trains running late or not turning up. The network as a whole is clearly suffering from chronic underinvestment, but appears to be doing it's best to pull through the struggle.
