Tatton Mere
For over 40 years I have visted this tranquil lake in Tatton Park, however it is under the flight path to Manchester airport. It is best on a weekday when the crowds of visitors are less.

Beautiful place. We had a lovely picnic there. Watched the deer and walked around the house and Gardens. Perfect for all ages

We love walking round Tatton Park which is a really beautiful part of Cheshire. The Mere provides a terrific focal point and is lovely to walk around in any time of the year.

Had a lovely walk around on a very cold day, saw quite a few deer and was surprised how close we were able to get. Will have a longer visit this year when weather gets better.

Beautiful place to walk and explore on foot. Don't go by car unless you can park outside. £9.50 to enter by car!! And it's the same price for a motorbike!! But bicycles are free. Even if there's 20 of them in a group.....?
