Duke's Cut
A short link between the Oxford Canal and the River Thames. A lovely walk spoiled by badly maintained narrowboats and rubbish littering the path and woodland

A trip back in time. Some of the lock gear is in a bad state. Repairs are needed and soon.

This stretch of the beautiful Oxford canal can be a bit muddy mainly caused by cycles. But it's worth getting muddy for the experience of walking in such a wonderful place

A narrow channel that links the Oxford canal to the Thames. We navigated up the Thames through Duke’s cut and back onto the canal heading towards Banbury. There were a fair few boats moored when we went through, a couple of tight turns and then the small lock at the end. If you’ve been happy though to go on the Thames and navigate through the centre of Oxford nothing to worry about. The Thames was beautiful and the cut was an ideal way to complete the Oxford loop.
