The Parish Church of Chadwell Saint Mary

A beautiful church at an ancient crossroads on the edge of a chalk escarpment overlooking the Thames estuary and the port of Tilbury. This church has Norman elements and was significantly enlarged in the C15th with the addition of a nave and tower. The interior was significantly re-ordered in the 1970s and although comfortable for worship, none of the early church fittings remain.

A beautiful village church

It's a nice spot, but there's nothing else around to visit.
