I visited Red Kite recently and had quite a mixed experience. The food was acceptable, nothing out of the ordinary, but satisfying enough. However, it happened to be a quiz night, and the noise level was quite disruptive. The quiz was not only played inside but was also broadcasted on outside speakers, making it impossible to escape the continuous clamour.The service left something to be desired. We were informed that the wait time for food would be an hour, but that was not the case! This, coupled with the constant noise, dampened the overall atmosphere and experience.While the environment might be lively and enjoyable for those participating in the quiz, it may not be the best choice for those seeking a quiet, relaxed dinner. If you are considering a visit, it might be worth checking in advance if any events are scheduled for the evening.

Went here on a Saturday lunch time (12ish) walked in and didn't need to make a reservation which was great. Found a table which was clean and tidy, the menu was already on the table along with all the sauces etc. Went to the bar and ordered the food and drink, within 5 minutes we had our food, so quick to bring it out, The service was super fast, staff welcomed us, and acknowledged us as we left as well. food was piping hot and delicious. The place was clean and tidy throughout, food was great service was great.. nothing but 5 stars, would highly recommend a visit here!

Excellent service, every staff member was helpful & happy. Food was outstanding, we were a party of 12 & everyone said what a lovely evening it was. Thank you to all the staff for making my sons 21st birthday enjoyable x

I booked online as I’d had a discount voucher listed through the door.I visited with my son.We were met at the door and warmly welcomed, given a choice of table or bar service, we were advised table service bay be loud due to a large party dining so chose bar service.Food took a while to arrive, however it was hot and tasty (cheese was missing from the hunters chicken).

Very helpful staff, extremely polite and knowledgeable. Hardly any wait for our drinks and meals. All food was hot, which is rare in some pubs. The food tasted lovely and we sent back four empty plates. First class on everything.

We went for a family get together to celebrate my brother birthday who passed away 1 year ago at the age of 32. 1st time for some family member to visit the red kite & they were absolutely happy with the service & the friendly staff members they could do enough for us. The food was fantastic. We differently will be coming back soon Lovely place.

Food wasn't the best ordered hunters chicken with extra chicken breast hardly any chips and a hand full of garnish thrown in the middle chicken wasn't hot enough very tight with the cheese on top .no one took the empty glasses which ended up being about 12 on the table cutlery turned up about 2 minutes after foof with one napkin between 3.also hobgobling ale wasn't very good so hit the larger. Won't be rushing back

Went there for a family meal - 15 in total. The staff were friendly, efficient and very accommodating. The food and service were very good too. Definitely go there again.

Went for lunch on a Saturday didn't seem very busy told it was table service were we we sat . When waitress eventually came over for our drink choice because it took so long for drinks to be ordered we decided to order food at same time.Drink hubby ordered was unavailable so asked for something else.A good 1/2 went by no drinks eventually they came .Our starters then took a while waitress tried to clear table before hubby had finished. Eventually someone from kitchen cleared our plates waitress was too busy talking to other staff . Waited ages no main course came got fed up so paid for starters and drinks and said we didn't want main course any longer dep manger said your food is on the pass (heard that one before )and left while we were waiting another customer had to ask for their table to be cleared waitress was in day dream world . Not impressed at all you need to train your staff better

Visited recently at lunch time and we all had the cod and chips off the main menu. Generous portion and good quality fish. Service was quick, even though it was busy there. They do now allow and cater for dogs, but only in one area; so if you don’t want to be sat close to others who have a dog with them just ask to be seated in a no dog area.
