It was wonderful…. Conrad really helped us and had a great personality behind the bar whilst working in a busy environment. Would highly recommend and Janine the manager was very welcoming.

Service was very quick, I was happy with that. The garden is lovely, but I could smell old cigarette butts from all the ashtrays around us, although there were none on our table. The roast dinner was good. The salad was fine although I felt it was overpriced for what it was and the feta" cheese was not feta at all.Would I go again? I wouldn't have a problem going along but probably wouldn't be my place of choice."

Really lovely staff, we all came in wanting different types of meals, a rump stake medium rare with pepper corn sauce was very good, cooked perfectly. Two sides (Mac and cheese and steamed veg) and a apple crumble pie with custard which was delicious. Everything came out very quickly

Great value food with welcoming staff and a happy atmosphere. If I'm being fussy, the roasties were more like chunky chips than roast potatoes. But everything else was nicely cooked with good flavour, including roast turkey which was moist. And there's not many places where you can get a Sunday roast for under £11 any more.

Very disappointing festive lunch yesterday. The food was stone cold and parsnips and carrots were rock hard. The pigs in blankets were missing the blankets. Not anywhere near as good as last year. The starters and dessert were ok but let down by the lunch.

All the staff are very friendly and helpful, sadly sometimes there could be more of them. We didn't have to wait long for our food, it was hot and exactly what we expected.I would like to see more vegetarian options. You offer vegetarian breakfast yet your bangers and mash is only meat sausages when you clearly have vegetarian ones in stock. You offer a lovely pie with mash and veg - no vegetarian option.

Had a lovely family lunch here today, not one complaint from anyone despite it being quite busy. Our server, Lydia, had the perfect balance of friendly and helpful but non-intrusive.

We've been here many times and always enjoy it. The staff are unfailingly friendly and helpful, the premises well kept and comfortable, the Ember menu wide and imaginative, the range of drinks pretty good. So for a quick celebratory lunch, I wasn't surprised when my wife chose the Seven Stars.

I have been going to the seven stars for 40 years. They have seen my family grow up. The first time I had the opportunity to celebrate my Granddaughters 1st Birthday, they ask my 29yr old daughter for ID. I understand the rules, however as a 58yr old man who fought for this country. 3 tours of Afghan my word should be my bond. They have watched my family grow up and the managers all know me by name. Because a new member of staff asked my daughters age the management would not admit that they have served my daughter on many occasions. I am deeply sadden about the treatment from the manager to me. We have always supported The Seven Stars. To be honest and truthful the food is average if you go to the New Inn the food is much better. As long as I breathe air I will never set foot in that pub again as they have ruined my 1st birthday with my granddaughter. I’m absolutely disgusted. Neil Stevens QVRM.

The Seven Stars is a nice pub and the duty manager was a lovely lady. She was very engaging and catered to all our requirements. The young lady who served at the bar needed to smile more in front of customers, irrespective of how busy she had been. After all, she is front of house" and that was the only reason the review was not a 5-star review. The food was lovely and was presented promptly. The chef was very particular about his meals being served at the correct temperature and in prime condition. Well done chef. The waiting staff were excellent and came back to check that everything was okay
