Going again this week,, big hospital lots of parking bays but even going early all are full nearly depending which entrance you need but disabled spaces in them all, but not enough. Long corridors lots of walking depending once again on your needs but lifts located on all floors. Toilets and cafes as well.

Doctor spoke to me like I was the worst person on earth for coming a couple days late for an injury without knowing my situation at all, spoke to me like a teacher disciplining a child. I understand you get difficult people in hospitals but so do I in my job for half the pay these doctors do so don’t appreciate being made to feel like I’m wasting the time, no excuse for it. I bit back because at the end of the day I’m the one sat in A+E for 3 hours with no alternative as my doctors can’t treat trauma so I had to be there, doctor was a right gaslighter “don’t talk to me like that” well right back at you don’t talk to me like I’m a 5 year old after I’ve had a long wait in A+E genuinely concerned about an injury or I’ll have something to say.

I have a love hate relationship with my consultant at the pain clinic somehow he always leaves me feeling very angry but then does a 180 and end up doing what is needed after all. He's also very condescending which riles me too! They forgot to follow me up after the last procedure they did so I went 9 months without any help or effective input and because I wasn't told I should have been seen nearly every month after my operation I don't know any better and felt like my operation has been a failure when in fact after they finally got round to seeing me and have tweaked the device they've implanted into my spine I'm now finally getting some relief from the constant debilitating pain I was constantly in. So don't rely on them to give you the correct follow up make sure you chase them to get the best from them.

My son was admitted to ICU after a road accident. Very good at patient care in ICU good care in ward 24 but appalling having to wait almost 9hrs for discharge medication. Desperate for beds any yet cannot get meds to be able to free up the room.

The hospital itself is bright, spacious and clean, and it never feels particularly busy (apart from A&E, obviously). Although it is big, the signage throughout is clear, and there are coloured main routes that are easy to follow. My only complaint is the very expensive car parking - there is no other option but to park there.

My son had an operation there yesterday and everything from beginning to end was extremely professional and organised. It's a thoroughly modern hospital in Middlesbrough.
