Howdens - Coventry

Review edited and changed from 1 star to 3 star: The experience went from no service and a pain at the initial stage to excellent but nevertheless very happy now and might be close to purchase depending on how it moves forward from here. Either way happy with the service now.

Must be incredibly cheap or they would have gone bust by now.Went in ignored by a member of staff when asking if he could help he said he would be with me in a minute then disappearedAfter about 10 mins and this guy staring directly at us, he was prompted by a another staff member who was serving another couple to come and help us came over.I asked him about a product he asked if he said we had an account and I said no but could I open one as that was another reason I had come he couldn’t find any forms and then went to ask another colleague where he could get a form 10 mins later I got a form which I won’t be filling outBad customer service is one thing but this place is an absolute joke

We used Howdens Coventry for our kitchen refit as the builder/fitter we used recommended this branch as they have a good design room with virtual display. We met with Mark on numerous occasions and he really listened to what we wanted. The product was pretty much all chosen by my wife before we arrived but still needed tips on storage and layout and this is where Mark came good. We were very happy with the price and the product. We sourced our own appliances and worktops but used Howdens for all the carcasses and doors. The bespoke wine rack was very clever.There were a few after sales teething problems and one design mishap which has meant our kitchen is only 95% perfect and this is what stopped the five star review. We had some delays in finalising accounts etc but got there in the end. This is a trade based business so this is kind of expected.Would highly recommend this branch and Mark for anyone wanting something special in their homeSam

Lockhurs lane store customer service and the staff behaviour is very bad also delivery keep missing items had to go myself to callect twice. Once you paidStaff don't bother .

Connie was amazing. Her customer service skills are exceptional. She is very helpful and attentive. If you do visit make sure to deal with Connie.

Absolutely disgraceful, we've had carcasses smashed only to have them replaced with the wrong size, damaged cupboard fronts, missing items, items that didn't fit when kitchen had been measured not once but twice! Really not happy :UPDATE: member of staff Michael has been very helpful on the matter and has rectified everything he can thank God for him, it should not happen in the 1st place

If you want a very very good sales man with no pressure then just ask for Michael. He was fantastic with our every needs.we have a rented house and it is in need of a new kitchen. Michael is going to get the business. In fact the whole team are working hard to please..

I went to Howden lockhurst lane on 06/08/2018 to purchase doors and skirting. I spoke to the chap on counter he took my account details. He was absolutely clueless. Whilst serving me he decided to serve another customer said he will only be two minutes. That turned out to be 20 mins. Oh sorry about that, right how can I help you I asked to see some doors and skirting. He then got one of his colleagues to show me some stock he was getting annoyed saying it wasn't his job to show me products. The guy serving on the counter should do it.I went back to the counter waited few more mins looked like Howdens staff was not bothered. They were on side talking away.Got back into my car went to wicks got all my products and opened a trade account, paid a bit extra was happy with service and great products.This branch is a waste of space there too busy, there service is rubbish they can't be bothered and warehouse staff seemed annoyed to do extra work.Sort it out Howdens the Binley branch are excellent you guys all need training again in customer service.

We are very impressed with the service we received from both Mark, who dealt with our kitchen design, to everyone at Howdens in Coventry who we have come into contact with.We purchased a Balham kitchen which is new in their range and as yet not many have been fitted. It is a complicated design and somewhat difficult to fit. But Mark and his team have been very supportive and although we decided halfway through the fit that we wanted to amend theoriginal design, they were happy to go with our decision and they took back some items and delivered new ones without any hesitation.We are very impressed with the standard of the units. The carcasses, drawers and doors are of an exceptional quality and we feel we have really had value for money.Thank you Howdens, we'll recommend you without hesitation.
