Co-op Funeralcare, North Kensington

I used this branch Co-op funeral care to arrange my late fathers funeral service and cremation. I also had a minister run the service which was arranged by co-op. I provided them with info about my father which was read out on the day and a selection of songs were played.From start to finish the service was very professional. I spoke mainly with Sarah and we communicated via both phone and email. She was great in answering all my questions and helping me fill in the paper-work for the crematorium.I am aware that this is a stressful time however sharing the below info as I would have personally found it useful.I went with the Essential Funeral Service and in total I spent just under 3k all in. I went with the essential funeral service which cost ~£2.2k, embalming + the minster fee came to ~£400 and the crematorium fee (West London) was £362.The crematorium fee is double this if the service takes place 10am onwards.I was initially hesitant about choosing the essential funeral service as I thought it might feel like a ‘cheap’ service. This is NOT the case at all and the only difference between this and something more premium is the choice of coffin, hearse etc.I looked around at other providers and the equivalent funeral service fee is around £800-900 more.

At the worst time of my life and having never planned a funeral before, I am so glad that we ended up choosing the co-op. I cannot speak highly enough of Sarah, her kind and natural manner helped to put us at ease at a very difficult time. She is a very special person who was professional and went above and beyond for us. After discovering that some special flowers I had ordered elsewhere had not been processed the evening before the funeral, Sarah came to the rescue and was able to get us the exact same flowers in time for the funeral the next morning by calling around all the florists she knew. I am extremely grateful for the help and care we received and I won't ever forget it.
