The Pickaquoy Centre

I have been member of the gym and health suite for 15 months now. Gym is decent but health suite very poor. The steam room has rarely worked and constantly needs rebooting. I have spoken to management and I get apologies but this doesn’t resolveThe problem. Having a monthly membership should enable properly to get get good quality for the cost but unfortunately it isn’t so. The sauna has no timer on it which was broken for around 6 weeks ago but a simple replacement hasn’t happened. The pool and health close for 2 weeks in the summer for maintenance but this doesn’t appearTo make a difference ?

Great place, packed with things like swimming pool, cinema, cafe etc. Loved it

Staff are friendly, and great facilities. The gym space is second to none and it's good to have a booking system so it doesn't get too busy. With regards to covid restrictions: perhaps to much reliance on these for the swimming pool. Not really sure why the kids have to walk past all the fun stuff (kids pool off limits) to get to a tiny square in the main pool where they are fenced in. Also not sure why you can only get into the changing room 10 mins AFTER the session starts (even the first one of the day) and need to get out 15 minutes before it ends. Don't go if you are planning to swim for the hour! All being said, it's super clean and as mentioned staff are friendly and helpful.

I went here for a gig great venue.Only downside was the card machine was not working so could only get a drink with cash.Sound was awesome both seating and standing available.Had a hotfoot van outside.No queue for the bathroom.Friendly staff throughout.

Good facilities, nice cafe.Sauna was on and off for the duration of my stay, which was the reason I was attending. Clean and tidy, polite staff.

Their cafe is brilliant. The staff are wonderful. Most of the time it is a spacious and quiet place to enjoy a coffee. Saturdays are usually busy though. The food there is great. The salads in a tortilla basket are certainly worth a try but in my mind the full breakfast is the best in Orkney, and it's a fantastic deal. The exercise facilities, climbing wall, pool, racket Sports, and various exercise classes are all top notch and it is a great place to get fit or hang out at the health suite. I'm probably biased because I spend loads of time here but it's a fantastic place.

Tremendous sport facility inc swimming and gym. Also got a great cinema.

Not sure what this place is like for its activities but I know it does have a large pull and climbing wall, along with a bouldering cave which you cannot gain entrance to until you've had an 'induction' . I came to the centre to speak at an event. If you're thinking of hiring for a corporate event I was recommend that you do not hire the Grainery room when the cinema is on next door. The studio however, seemed to work really well, until the air conditioning came on and delegates could not hear at the back. It's still a good central venue and the staff done all they can to make the event a huge success.

Excellent facilities here. Loads of things for the kids to do we spent a good part of the morning in soft play for the kids
