I attend exercise class on a Monday morning, I enjoy the class and the company of the other people

I was very happy with them as I got a 4 hour break a week as I care for mum 24/7.Mum had a small stroke so informed them. I got an email saying that she can’t go any more. I am fuming the fact that an email was sent with no discussion with me about mum’s progress or any assessment prior to this. Mum has recovered within a week but they just assumed she will need to be wheeled about and help toileting which she doesn’t. As said she’s back to how she was prior to the stroke within a week but they hadn’t bothered to communicate with me about her. She can walk on her own, hold a fork and toilet herself. I am angry at the way this was done and how unprofessional this was. I got the impression for years they were professionals. They didn’t even have the decency to ring me up to discuss anything. Very disappointed how they went about this.Update: I got a phone call from them the next day after emailing my views on this as was so angry. They reviewed mum like they should’ve to begin with and accepted her back into the day centre so all’s good. Mums happy to be back and I get a few hours off a week again.

Many NHS services and others use the rooms available inside the community hub.

Lovely place for older people to come together and have a chat and have dinner and socialize. lots of activities to enjoy at a little more cost, like Pilates and Tai Chi. Very large seating area, great staff and volunteers, very friendly and helpful. Lots of other services available like foot clinic and hearing aid clinics.

Enjoy going here, there is a lot going on. Staff and volunteers are kind and caring.

Only visited for an eye check up, but was very pleasantly surprised by the welcome and the number of clubs and activities available

When your sad lonely or hungry the hubs the place to be.the folks make you feel welcome they really do care and the meals are very nice .we must support this health and well being resource to all in New Romney who rely on it's open doors
