I highly recommend Cheshire Guitar School - Nick Studholme is fantastic. Nick's incredible passion for music and the guitar is apparent in his teaching style, methods and engagement. Nick has high emotional intelligence which translates into a patient, understanding teacher who is sensitive to the needs, character and ability of the student. Nick listens to the student and will structure the lesson around their needs - although at the same time, subtly ensuring the pupil is also learning important fundamentals required of any good musician in terms of music theory, techniques etc. Nick's formidable talent and experience as a musician provides him with a large diverse array of musical styles, activities and techniques which he shares with the students. Nick is always incredibly positive, constructive and supportive. Finally the operational side of Cheshire Guitar School is outstanding. Cheshire Guitar School is an extremely professional, highly organized entity to which I wish the upmost success in return for the happiness, skills, enjoyment and guidance it has provided to my son.

Nick is very patient and our 8 year old son has really progressed since joining Cheshire guitar school. We’re really pleased with his progress and more importantly he really enjoys and looks forward to his lessons. Nick is really open to feedback and will help support formal examinations too. Would recommend if you’re looking for a guitar teacher.

Our son has come on leaps and bounds on the bass with Nick at Cheshire Guitar School.Nick has a dynamic but relaxed approach to teaching. I cannot recommend Nick enough. From lesson 1 he had my daughter playing a song. He asked her favourite music and based her lessons about what she liked, so keeping her interested all the way through. He has now got my daughter through her GCSE music exams, and was always able to help with any questions or doubts she had. If you want to learn guitar then he is your man without doubt. I have recently started lessons with Nick having never played an instrument before. I wish I had done this years ago. He has a great style of explanation and a wealth of knowledge across many genres. The lessons are fun relaxed and we are making good progress. I am really enjoying it and cannot recommend him enough.

Highly recommended!My 10 year old daughter started guitar lessons with Nick being absolute beginner and now (after two months) she enjoys herself playing the guitar and improving with every lesson. Beautiful to listen. Nick is great teacher, has calm manner and lots of patience. I could not expect to have a better teacher. 5 star recommendation!

We were looking for a guitar tutor for our 14 year old daughter. We wanted the journey to learning an instrument to be fun. Nick listened carefully to what we said and most importantly to what our daughter was hoping to achieve. The music he uses to teach is what she likes to listen to and play. She is developing new skills and most importantly loves playing her guitar. I can’t recommend Nick highly enough!

Our son J (6) has been attending Nick's lessons for about six months and it is astonishing to see how quickly he has progressed. Nick is very patient and kind with him which he needs. The music choices are varied and relevant which keeps him engaged. J's confidence has improved tenfold and this his lessons have been so beneficial for him generally. I have recently started guitar lessons with Nick after many years of trying to teach myself. Nick has a very patient teaching style, willing to tailor the music we work on to my requirements and always encouraging even when I make a mess of things! He is, of course, a great guitarist himself.
