We would order for two years, everything was really delicious. Today we ordered two dishes of falafel and chips, the falafel was dry and tasteless, the chips were burnt, a real shame!!! When we called it turned out that they had changed management and they were not nice to say the least!

The new owners have made the Shwarma delicious, with all the salads, Chips, and tahina and dips. it’s quite heavy if you have it with Pita but on own is just as good. Highly recommend

First time to Balagan but certainly won’t be the last. Service first class, very good food and a great atmosphere with lovely Israeli music. It’s as close to Tel Aviv as we can get within a few minutes from home. Highly recommended

The food was not tasty to say the least. Falafel without flavour! The food was just poorly packaged and didn’t look appealing! And whoever answered the phone needs to study a chapter in customer service!I’ve been a loyal customer for the last two years and would not order again.

Surrounded by small European flags, with pallet boards and a designed chaos of tangled lighting looming menacingly overhead, one might say that the restaurant’s name was appropriate.Balagan means a state of chaos, disarray and confusion.Though really, the restaurant was relatively calm and ordered.Bigger than the other European flags, the Israeli flag is set aside above one table (Balagan’s website describes its cuisine as a Middle-eastern).My mummy commented that there was no Palestine flag. Thankfully, she didn’t ask them to explain! It could have caused world war 3!I placated her by saying that the European flags that adorned the walls were likely there because of the Euro 2021 Football and because the restaurant was showing the games on their large screen. Our Falafel Laffa arrived on a square plate wrapped in paper, as though it were a take-away. We’d expected the griddled Laffa to be warm but it was room temperature. The falafel was almost as well but tasted fine, if in need of a little zazzing up. The assorted filling of salad and pickles had a light zing and smoothness to compliment the crispy outer, soft inner of the falafel. The staff seemed a little indifferent to a teddy bear customer but I guess that is better than ending up on a kebab skewer or as a bear burger! If you require a ramp to get over a shallow threshold you will have to wait a while as they no longer have one in place. They said they will be getting one soon. The deliver and you can order online and collect.Update 9th July 2021:- I just got an email from the restaurant asking me to call them after my three star review. It's good to know they taken interest and are concerned. I explained that I hadn't really made a complaint. My review had been just a reflection of my visit being okay/average, not bad or great. I would probably go there again if a friend wanted to go. Whereas, places I rate 1 or 2 I would likely not return to.

Best fast food I’ve had in my life! Food was perfectly spiced, perfect temperature and very very tasty, service was excellent and really enjoyed my time. Will definitely come back soon.

A pleasant surprise and break from the mediocrity of the local restaurants. Expensive (although visited during eat out to help out scheme) but with great food, you should definitely check Balagan out.I ordered a schnitzel meal, which came accompanied by chips and salad. The schnitzel was crispy and tasty albeit a little on the small side, but the chips were incredible. Super soft and wonderfully unprocessed, these were by far the best chips I’ve had in a while. Salad was good as well, and the Oreo milkshake was decent for a Parve option. Shawarma was also great as well as falafel, and the pita that came with the meal was really great and authentic, you could definitely tell it had been grilled a little.Staff were quick to check up on us and ensure the meal was fine, and it was nice sitting outside.Great experience overall.

Never before have I been to a restaurant and been served disgusting tasting food. Salad tasted off and meat was fatty. the whole thing was bland and tasteless. The salt and pepper serves were greasy and overall it was overpriced.

Food is very tasty. Service is quite good, friendly and attentive but not the quickest (at what was a quiet time) and my order for omission of onion and pickles were not heeded.Atmosphere is nice but nothing extraordinary by far (inside decor).
