Prestige Student Living Chamberlain Place

DONT STAY HERE ITS HORRIBLE !When you complain they ignore you ,how can the reception not have a number you have to physically walk down the stairs did I mention there is no lift !*No blinds*No privacy they just walk into your room without notice*No lift*Its dirty no cleaners*Faulty fire alarms*When you receive Mail you don’t get it when you wantThey was more focused building the gym then fixing students rooms .They will not fix your problem if you complain this is the worst student accommodation DONT NOT STAY HERE !Your better off sleeping outside .

Bad place. Very unprofessional, rude and unhelpful. Your belonging are not secure, rooms are broken into and when you report it, they say there is nothing they can do. I now feel unsafe I. A place which was meant to be secure for students. I now have to move, because they couldn’t even reassure me with more patrols as this is not their problem. I am even unhappy to give the 1 star.

There have been a handful of complaints and they have not been dealt with. The building is newly built however students should feel settled in a safe , secure and clean enviroment ready to start the academic year not stressing over the lack of customer service provided by Chamberlain Place in regards to repairs , no blinds secured at the windows for privacy this should have been installed before students moved in!Builders and male members of staff walking into students rooms is not safe or ideal when students are maybe out of there rooms or in the shower etcThere is no respect for the students and the attitude from staff is poor unfortunately this place needs to do better to meet the needs of students. Bog improvements need to be made it just all sounds awful.

The delay in check-in, almost a month into the academic year, coupled with the incompetence of the regional property manager, has left me feeling quite disappointed with this ‘prestige’ accommodation. Upon arrival, we were greeted by rooms filled with dust, non-functional appliances, and what seemed like an 80% completed accommodation. It’s been two weeks since we moved in and I still can’t wash my clothes due to the lack of laundry facilities. We were informed by the regional property manager that laundry services would be outsourced, but we’re still waiting for that to happen. Despite my repeated inquiries at the front desk and promises of an email update, no such email has been sent. While we do receive regular emails about compensation payouts, there have been several instances where these payments have not been made. If it weren’t for the understanding and helpful nature of the property manager Lisa and her front desk team, I would have rated this experience a zero. They are a stark contrast to their superior.

THIS HAS TO BE ONE OF THE WORSE PLACES EVER. A few employees entered the room without my permission and completely invaded my personal space while I was away. They moved my stuff, rearranged the furniture, and left the room in a dirty manner in addition to disregarding the do not disturb" notice.This was a very distressing and inappropriate invasion of privacy. Knowing that someone had entered my personal space without my permission made me feel violated and uneasy. The staff's disrespectful and unprofessional behaviour towards guests' privacy is unacceptable.Upon addressing the issue with management

Most traumatic stay away from home anyone could ask from. I have been forced out of my room, I pay on time, never have any issues. They continuously abuse their power as we have no where else to go. our post goes missing and we a fearful to stay here. As they come into our room’s whenever they like, as a lone female I am SCARED!

What sets Chamberlain Place apart is the incredible commitment to resident satisfaction. The management and staff have worked tirelessly to improve the accommodation, and it's evident in the remarkable changes I witnessed during my stay. The once-minor issues have been resolved, and the overall atmosphere is now nothing short of exceptional.The facilities provided at Chamberlain Place are top-notch. From the spacious common areas, and well-equipped gym, to the modern study spaces, it's evident that the management truly understands the needs of the students. The internet connectivity is fast and reliable, making it an ideal environment for students who require a stable connection for their studies.Dom, the property manager, deserves a special mention. Her dedication to making Chamberlain Place a top-tier student accommodation is unparalleled. She is approachable, and responsive, and consistently goes the extra mile to ensure that residents are content and comfortable in their living spaces. Her presence and hard work have significantly contributed to the positive changes I observed during my stay.I highly recommend Chamberlain Place to any student looking for an excellent living environment in the heart of Birmingham's city centre. The fantastic transformation and unwavering commitment to resident satisfaction are truly remarkable. Thank you, Dom, and the entire Chamberlain Place team for making my stay memorable and enjoyable!

The whole building has been without steady hot water for 20 days now, and the water is cold or turns cold halfway through the shower every night. More than two weeks have passed and it has not been fixed! The solution" offered by the managers is for students to walk to another dormitory 500 metres away to take a shower on winter nights. Important issues like this should be resolved faster and more professionally - not by having a group of students taking cold showers or walking on winter nights during the final week!"

This place is the worst , please reconsider if sending you're child here , safety is not a concern of theres and is out of there hands apparently!!!All rooms are accessed by builders with out concent

I am a master student coming for the first time ever to study in the UK. I was looking for a spacious place that would make me feel comfortable and have a pleasant experience. However, my bad luck brought me to Chamberlain ! Where I was fooled by their advertisement strategy and the animated layouts and the show room videos they have sent me! Once I saw those and by booking a one bedroom apartment which I thought would be superior!! It got me and unfortunately, I have paid my first installment.Before the academic semester starts by just 1 week! They have informed us for the delay in check in time and they have given us several options to choose from. At the beginning, I have chosen the option of getting some sort of a refund and I said, I will use it to stay in a hotel until the new move in date (I was still optimistic about the place). When I moved to the UK. I said I would go and take a look at the place.I WAS VERY SHOCKED because the place wasn’t even seemed to be ready and construction was taking a place. I felt very scared and I have insisted on the property manager to show me my room and to convince me that it is ready because every-time when I ask her about the room. She says that I cannot show you as the building is under construction !!After I insisted on her. I was even shocked even more. The one bedroom apartment that I am paying 250/week was very small and the living area where the kitchen is has no window !!!!I felt that I have been manipulated. I hated Chamberlain and I really wished that I didn’t come across and take the warning signs seriously ! But I didn’t listen to the logic and I followed some sort of a marketing strategy.After that, I felt like I don’t want to be in Chamberlain. The building wasn’t ready and it didn’t seem to be ready in 2 weeks. And I am a master student and I really need to focus on my studies. So, I texted them to allow me cancel my booking and I am happy that they did.However, I have paid my installment and was waiting for them to send me the refund where I have given them my UK bank account. However, they have sent me the refund in my international account Making me to lose around 400 pounds for just the transaction fees, more to the money I have lost for paying for my hotel stays and they didn’t even apologized for any of it!!Chamberlain is my very worst experience. To the point that I am happy that I have left them even though I lost tons of money as a student but I am very sad and disappointed that they have given me very bad experience mentally and emotionally.I have ended up staying in another accomdation but due to the lack of time and for looking for an accomdation at the very beginning of the academic semester. All the rents were high. So, I am even losing more money for renting a place at a higher rate than I could get it if I booked it at the time I have booked Chamberlain.And this is all the fault of their greedy management and for opening and receiving bookings of their accomdation that wasn’t even ready.If you are reading this. I advice you to stay away. Because they are awful.
