Parked here to visit The Hermitage as the lower car park was blocked by construction. Everything great and only £3 all day.

£3 all day fee for non-trust members. Tickets are not tied to your license plate so please share. It does take card but rejected my £2 coins.If you're walking the trails in this area my advice would be to follow the Old Military Road (a maintained gravel road) that starts in this lot for about 5 minutes and you'll arrive at a Forestry commission parking lot that is free.
