James is a friendly, patient and very knowledgeable guitar teacher. My son has been having lessons for a couple of years and is working his way up the grades. James ensures that my son understands the theory behind what he is playing and is keen to improve his technical playing skills. My son looks forward to his lessons. I would recommend James.

Whether you have never picked up a guitar before or have been playing for 10+ years, I would highly recommend speaking to James to start advancing your playing.James offers both in-person and Zoom lessons. He offers structured lessons via grades or help you work on specific parts of your playing - I have done a mixture of both.

Jame’s is a really nice guy and has a laid-back teaching style he’s been teaching my 14 year old daughter for about 6 months now. My daughter is Autistic and hearing impaired and straight away James made her feel really relaxed.He is very patient, easy to work with and we both come away feeling uplifted. James is a really easy going guy, who made me really comfortable. That was key for me to learn effectively, I’ve only been learning for a short time but he has been able to push me out of a couple of ruts and elevate my playing to the point I can confidently play with others and improvise freely.There’s no limitations to his knowledge, tools or exercises to grow you as a guitarist.

I've been having lessons with James at Complete Guitar Tuition for a few months and I really enjoy them. He's a patient and consistent teacher and he describes and demonstrates concepts clearly. The lessons are comfortable and relaxed. James breaks down theory concepts and the reasons behind them, which has expanded my knowledge and appreciation of music.

James is a really friendly guy and knows everything about playing guitar! I was amazed by his knowledge of guitar theory which he seems genuinely passionate about (helpful when learning such a boring subject!) and his guidance on improving my technique has really helped my playing. Unfortunately I have moved out of the area so I had to stop the lessons with James, but I couldn't recommend him enough!
