Coach Kristaps
Kris has been fantastic with helping me exercise to get rid of pain and to improve my strength and movement. After only a short time I noticed huge improvements in my ability to trek up steep inclines and enjoy skiing. My strength is increasing. Kris will always explain why an exercise is important and is persistent in his problem solving.

I've being coming to Kristaps for help with my weightlifting for just under a year and I am blown away by the progression I have made. I came to him having done lifts in CrossFit for a number of years, barely making any progression and within months of his coaching, I was recording PB's weekly - something I'd never have thought was possible. He not only helps with my lifting, but any injuries or niggles I have, he is always on hand with exercises or physio to help ease the physical discomfort.I'm incredibly grateful to Kris for all he has taught me, I make the journey from Newark to Leicester twice a week just for his coaching. Cannot recommend him enough x

I was dabbling with the idea of strength training when I decided to have a consultation with Kristaps. I have now completed the final session of a 10 session block and can say that I am now addicted! I went to Kristaps on the strength of reviews that mentioned his skills at rehabilitation for injuries, as I have had issues with shoulder and back pain for a number of years, related to my occupation. I'm very pleased to say that Kristaps came up with a simple and effective set of exercises and stretches to correct my weaknesses alongside a comprehensive strength training programme.Kristaps tells it to you straight but he is also extremely encouraging and totally practical in building your strength base up. While the first few sessions were quite hard going I started to get a real buzz after the first 3 or 4 and would recommend booking in two sessions a week to start with if you can as it really gets the momentum going: I did once a week for two weeks and then did 4 over the next two weeks as I had some time off work, and those 4 sessions made a massive difference to my confidence going into the gym.Kristaps is an excellent motivator and a kind and caring guy, which makes a big difference when you're coming in without any prior knowledge or experience. He just wants to get the best out of his clients and get them fitter and stronger, and I have certainly come out from my 10 sessions feeling stronger, healthier, happier and really strongly motivated to keep improving.

I am 56 years of age and thought I had a good fitness level and lifting technique for my age. I started training initially 2 days a week doing Kristaps barbell sessions in Leicester. I very quickly learnt that I was not only lacking basic techniques but lacking flexibility and movement patterns that help prevent injuries.Over the past 3 months I have trained using 8 week training plan based over a 5 day week. This was not just based on what kristaps thought I required but he also took into account my thoughts and goals. The plans are very personal to my overall goals and needs. Kristaps not only has an incredible knowledge and experience in all areas of Olympic lifting he also combines well general aerobic fitness to compliment the strength programme. kristaps takes a real keen interest in my progress and even when you think he is not watching he is there offering advise on refining the movements being done.I cannot recommend Kristaps enough whether you need one to one PT session or a personal programme totally designed around the individual. Kristaps is always at the end of the phone to support and advise. The progress I have made in all areas of my fitness have been well past my expectations having Kristaps over looking my progressI may be 56 but feel stronger fitter and more confident in myself than I was in my 20s and this is totally down to having Kristaps there giving incredible support and working on all my strength and weaknessesThanks again Kristaps as we move on in my fitness journey

I started a program with Kristaps to improve my strength and technique. Kris’ knowledge and skill for Olympic weightlifting is exceptional and I always feel empowered and stronger following my weekly personal training session with Kris. His knowledge and coaching has helped me massively not just with my weight lifting technique but understanding the required calorie intake, sleep and other elements which are paramount. Kris has taken time to understand my goals and hurdles and continues to help me overcome these. I would highly recommend Kristaps as a weight lifting coach and mentor to help you succeed and achieve your personal goals.

I've been coached by Kristaps since March 2013. Kristaps has provided bespoke rehabilitation and performance coaching which has enabled me to enjoy excellent athletic capacity into my 60's. Training with Kristaps sometimes can be a challenging ordeal! But training with Kristaps is always a pleasure:)

I’ve had a fantastic learning experience with Kristaps. I booked a block of four sessions to learn the foundations of Olympic weightlifting and I couldn’t be more pleased with my progress. My own perceptions of my mobility issues were challenged and now I can confidently say I am much more able to achieve the lifts with correct technique. The difference from before and after is really clear.Kristaps was very professional in his approach as he took a thorough list of previous injuries, other sports I play and diet before commencing any physical work. This really tailored the sessions towards me so I got the best out of my time. His approach is highly detailed and this really helped my get the result that I wanted.If your after a coach who has a vast knowledge base and is clearly passionate about teaching then this is the coach for you. I plan to come back and keep improving.Thanks for all the help Kristaps.

I paid for some initial sessions as I was tentative about this one-person show. I went on to book ten sessions and an individual workout plan. Kristaps has a finely tuned knowledge of strength and exercise with a bespoke holistic approach to training his client. He has taught me that behind motivation, there is a giant called discipline. I have learnt a lot from him. Kristaps has been exceptional.

I've recently finished 20 sessions with Kristaps and I've never been in better shape my entire life. He made sure to teach me the correct techniques for all exercises covered so I could go away and keep training. He's incredibly motivating during the sessions and pushed me through the blocks when I would have given up training alone. I'm more confident with my own ability now and cannot wait to keep training.

I am very happy to have experienced Kristaps as my weightlifting coach. During these 8+ months, my strength has improved a lot. I learned from 0 to the last Snatch 32.5kg, Clean 45kg, jerk 42.5kg. Deadlift 85kg. Kristaps taught me a lot of useful techniques about weightlifting and always encouraged me to push my limits!The best weightlifting trainer in Leicester. If you are looking to improve your overall self by lifting weights, this is a great choice! :)
