We went for a birthday party, enjoyed a few pints of doomdar, pleasant atmosphere .came home. Didn't have any food from the pub.

Steffan is an absolutely lovely host who is totally focused on giving his customers a great all round experience. A really nice clean and modern pub with lots of parking, a kids play area and a nice outdoor seating area too. A really friendly place. Will definitely be back again. Nothing not to like and highly recommend!

We have lived not far from the Charlton for nearly 2 years and have visited a handful of times and were not in a hurry to go back. We heard the the new owner Steffan had reached out to local publicans and decided to give it another try. What a difference. Good range of well kept lagers and warm attentive service. On the back of this we decided to try the food. I went for the burger and my partner had the nachos. The burger bun was freshly toasted and kept its form around a substantial burger and perfectly crispy bacon. The onion rings and fries were crisp with hardly a drop of oil on the paper. The chilli on the nachos was full of flavour with plenty of cheese throughout not just melted on top. Part way through our meal we were asked if everything was ok and if we needed anything, perfect customer care. A new member of staff was in training and both Steffan and the head bar person took the time to explain their expectations and show them what to do. In so many cases I have seen staff thrown in at the deep end to sink or swim. Very refreshing to see proper training delivered on the floor. The atmosphere was a little quiet with the sport on and no music but we went fairly early in the evening. There were a range of customers from guys enjoying the sport to a families out for a bite to eat. It really felt like a good old fashioned local that was welcoming for all. I would urge everyone to get behind Steffan and his team and support him to make a success of this local business.

Since the new ownership has come in, we now *really* enjoy stopping off here or having an evening at this pub! It's a great place to go with friends and your dogs too, and a great place to catch some sport too. And the prices for food and drink are very reasonable! Thank you, The Charlton team!

Stef is a lovely bloke. Only been at the Charlton a few weeks, but made us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Clean and tidy pub, decent pool table and atmosphere

Fantastic local Pub! Great food for a great price. Excellent selection of beers. Friendly atmosphere with live sport! Friendly staff and lovely outdoor area.Very lucky to have this well run pub around the corner from us. Keep up the great work!

Just been refurbished so smells and feels really clean. Not doing food yet which is quite sensible as it let's the Staff get used to it all. Nice to have somewhere local to enjoy.

Just went for a drink. No food. Very tidy place and will look to go again. Edit: Went again for food and drink and the food was as good as any pub food. Lovely.

Wow, Stef and the team at the Charlton are just fantastic. Such a friendly and welcoming vibe. Good mixture of seating and plenty of screens for matches. The food is nice and a good price. Thank you.
