One star really is generous, our contract hire Sportage after 2 years broke down in April, struggled to find a local dealer to even take the car in ,now 9 months later still getting pinged between the dealer and customer services with no end in sight, no apologies just lies and the worst customer service in history, in fact Kia can’t even pass messages on from their dealers correctly but this in turn becomes a blame game between the dealer and the contract hire company which is of course Kia!! But I should be grateful as I am paying for an SUV on a contract so as a courtesy car I get a Ford focus and apparently I was lucky to get that! Which is great for my wife and 3 teenage kids and 2 dogs, I now have to borrow a car to take the dogs out when required and for my mother in law who has a blue disabled badge as well as she can’t lower herself into the focus hence why we wanted an SUV. Absolute waste of time having a 7 year warranty, most of that time one would assume the vehicles would be in the garage! Absolute shocking experience and never again, I could write for and piece on the hours I have spent trying to get thru or generally communicate with the worst car company in the world, hope your Kia never breaks down as who knows when you will see it next!!!

I would never buy another or recommend a Kia to anyone. Kia Proceed developed a fault where it would randomly lose power. Pretty dangerous when overtaking or pulling out of a junction. Car was two years old. I was having to wait for months for a dealership to even diagnose the problem, once diagnosed, it was suggested that I may have to wait for a month again if I wanted a repair with a courtesy car (we live rural so need a car). Contacted Kia head office to see what could be done. Lots of apologies but ultimately, I would have to arrange for another car out of my own pocket if I needed to get somewhere, until it could be repaired. They were very quick to start quoting terms and conditions of warranty rather than at least trying to help me out of the situation. Kia and their dealership network are just horrible. Due to it being under warranty, I couldn't even use an independent who might have been able to help this along. Remember that Kia are in bed with Hyundai too. I'd give them a miss as well.

Dreadful! Avoid KIA at any cost, it has awful and rude customer service, 6 months on average waiting time to get your car fixed, decided to take my business elsewhere, and will never go back. Avoid KIA at any cost

Really poor advice and guidance by sales. Actively telling incorrect information to press sales service packages despite Kia t&c being black and white as well as the MVA block exemption (in place since 2003). Not a good experience, luckily had a great experience with Kia picadilly who I wouldn't have found had these guys not lied to my face.

We've had good service from our local dealer - Fine Cars - in Hampshire, but yesterday learnt that Kia have removed their dealership - allegedly because they hadn't been able to relocate to a larger premises that were demanded (they've been trying to do so unsuccessfully so far). How does that help the many local customers who had chosen to buy a Kia from them because of their locality and reputation? I could walk to and from their site. Now have to go to Portsmouth, and no-doubt have longer wait lists. I was going to buy a new EV6, and whilst I considered a Tesla, the good local dealership was a key factor. Not now. :-(

Like Neil Shaw I am disappointed in Kia. I have purchased 4 new Kia's from Fine Cars in Hampshire purely because of the excellent service I receive I fear my EV6 will be the last as I don't want to go to Portsmouth Kia and they don't want our custom and (declined to recognise our Kia service plan). I think Paul Philpott the MD should hang his head in shame at this Criminal Treatment" of a 5 Star dealership."

Avoid Kia completely! Don’t be fooled by the “7 year warranty” because it has lots of hidden nasties which you they don’t not tell you about..not even in the small print. Swansea customer service is appalling, takes a day to get through on the phone, do not return calls, over month wait to book your vehicle in, even longer for diagnosis and some of the staff are rude and joyfully insult your intelligence.

Avoid!! Avoid!Avoid the brand.I write this review so no other Family or person experiences the same issue we are going through with a very heavy heart and I wish my family and I were not in this awful situation. Following purchasing our Kia Sportage AWD AT GT line 2018 with 33 000 Miles 6 months ago, we have now found ourselves car less after just 7000 miles. The car was originally bought by the first owner from Brayley Kia Oxford dealer and all 3 previous services done by this dealer and now sits in their work shop for more than 3 weeks with no diagnostics being conducted and clearly no indication of when they will be able to diagnose the vehicle. The diagnostics done by our privately contracted road side assistance (Kia Road side not available when called) stated the gear box has failed and cannot engage gears (Note this is an Auto). The car smells of burnt Clutch which we were advised by the road side assistance that this issue seems to be an internal gear box issue from his professional opinion. The car is way under the 100000miles/7year warranty. The dealer have confirmed over 16 breakdowns and also have cars there for repairs over two months and understandably work on a first come first serve basics. We have laid complaints with Kia UK and get no assistance what so ever and all we get told is the dealers are independent. Kia as a group and as a dealer do not stand by what they advertise especially the Kia Family like care part.We understand things break but breaking and not having an indication of when this can be repaired nor assist with providing a loan car wile they resolve the break down is definitely not family like care. This is a very cut down edit of our experience with KIA as a whole.Extremely frustrating and utterly unacceptable!!!

Honestly my advice to anyone even thinking about buying a KIA, Don't Do It!!, the cars are half the Issue, the main Issue is the service you receive from the KIA dealerships which Is an embarrassment, I handed my car in 3 weeks ago and was not provided with a courtesy car and have been told I probably won't get one for a couple of months, my KIA Sportage is not road worthy and not safe to drive, I then called the head office to complain as I have a job and kids and need a vehicle for my day to day living and the Head office informed me to out source myself hire a car which will end up costing me a couple of thousand, I have had other cars in the past e.g Toyotas, Hondas, BMWs even a Ford and never ever had this issue, my god these other dealerships would give me a courtesy car for something as small as a service. My honest advice to anyone thinking of buying one don't save yourself the stress.

Appointment with Motability Adviser, Wayne Denton who was very helpful. Made me feel really comfortable, and not wasting his time like other garages made me feel. He explained everything to me, and my fiance.
