What a friendly bunch and I loved that for £12.50 my son and I could keep travelling up and down the line. One of the drivers was very kind and whilst the train was stationary, allowed my son to put some special keys in and get it set up and ready to go! The scenery is gorgeous, especially on the sunny day with blue skies that we visited on!

So interesting! For a small station there's so much to see and learn. The Anderson shelter, the war relics inside the Pill Box, the museum plus, of course, the station itself and trains. Well worth a visit and a donation. All volunteers enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Even had a guided tour from an original train driver. Brilliant!

Very small at the moment, they are hoping to extend and working hard to achieve there goal. All very freindlly and a great little museum on site. Worth the vist and all the help they can get

Thankyou to all the Volunteers who organised and ran the Beer Festival. A great selection of ales and ciders to which we sampled all of them between us! All staff were good humoured with Phil Jones being particularly passionate in sharing his knowledge of the operation, history and future aspirations of the railway. An all weather attraction in proving that despite the heavy rain we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will hopefully see you again at the next Beer Festival. We look forward to the day of being able to travel on an extended running line at some point.

As a volunteer, its my obligation to tell everyone this is a fantastic place to kill a few hours with family, kids and pets, because it is! Services resume on the 2nd April 2022! Come by for a fun 25 minute train ride, explore the station and locomotives, the souvenir shop, and have a quick spot of lunch in our cozy Mk1 carriage buffet and of course feel free to pop into the museum to find out loads of interesting history about the Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway! We hope to punch your tickets soon! All the best - the SDJR Volunteers!

So well presented by the volunteers. Nothing was too much trouble. Their enthusiasm was brilliant. Lots to see and the trip on the Wickham trolley the highlight.Recommend a visit.

Cold and snowy afternoon on the Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway Santa special. Friendly staff and a great experience for the children. Short train ride steam hauled through the countryside. Thankyou
