Asked for a first choice of jacket potatoes and told they had run out of that topping asked for a second and they had run out of that aswell. Ended up having cheese and onion quiche because that was pretty much all they had left.

I went to the Wait&Rose cafe on Sunday (10th Dec) and I cannot thank the staff there enough. They were so helpful and kind and really went that extra mile for me.I have load of intoerances so I don't usually go to any cafe without my own milk (to put in tea) and snacks, as I know most places can't cater for me. My husband and daughter also have a dairy allergy. Anyway, I had been to Wait&Rose the week before and there were a few items that I could have, and a few things my husband/daughter could have so I didnt take any snacks, only milk. However when we arrived there was a sign saying that there had been a black out the precious evening and therfore only a limited number of things were available. I was so hungry at this point as I'd planned on eating there, so I started trying to work out what I could have, if anything (as well as options for my husband and daughter). One particular member of staff noticed me stressing and (I'm sorry to say I didn't get her name, but I did go and thank her on my way out), she tried to help me find a solution. Eventually she mentioned that if there were anything 'on the shop floor' that I could have, they could put it through the till at the cafe and they would help sort me something to eat - and that's what we did. Waitrose stock one of the only Allergy free breads that I can tolerate, so I went and got some and they toasted a few slices for me. It might not seem like much but it meant a huge amount to me and I was super grateful. They could have just said that it's wasnt their issue an have left me to it but, this lady really took time and showed that she wanted to help. Its people like this that make daily experiences special, and help other realise that there is still kindness in the world.

Great experience today, wasn’t feeling the best so took myself up to Waitrose for a little walk around, stopped into the cafe as I saw the PSL & Cappuccino cake and when I got to the till, the lovely ladies told me i didn’t get a full slice so could swap if I wanted to or grab something to make up for it, lovely gesture and honesty turned my bad day around :) (not sure of the names of the ladies but it was around 13:30 on the 3rd, great staff you have there!!)
