The Crepe Escape

I don't love this place, but it's personal taste. The pancakes and waffles are very good. I really dislike the decor, which has loads of cutesy/ wacky signs.Portions are large. Keep in mind if you order a sweet pancake it automatically comes with ice cream and whipped cream, so if you don't want that you need to let them know beforehand. It's very child friendly. Honestly there's nothing wrong with this place, but I just don't like it.

We had an afternoon tea voucher and yeah it was okay! just not much more than that - waiting staff were absolutely lovely but you could tell the food was all made with shop bought ingredients

This is a lovely place on Mermaid Quay that I probably wouldn't of known about if it hadn't been for Groupon. I purchased the freakshakes offer and took my children during the October half term. As to be expected the shop was very busy and it took a while for us to be seated. The waiter apologised in advance and explained that there would be a 20 minute wait but this didn't faze us as we were eager to try the freakshakes after our 30 minute train ride. Being complete newbies to freakshakes the 4 of us decided to try 1 of each of the 4 specials on the board and awaited eagerly as we watched the waiter prepare them for us from behind the counter. Sweets, chocolate and nutella were all added to this very sweet milkshake treat and topped off with cream for an absolutely fantastic taste experience. Next time I wouldn't hesitate to pay the full price and maybe try one of the beautiful afternoon teas. Couldn't fault the staff at all they were all really friendly and accommodating.

Had a picnic bench afternoon tea here today and it was fantastic! There was more than enough for two people (we brought half of it home) everything was beautifully fresh and you could choose your sandwich fillings! The staff were lovely and nothing was too much! Will definitely be re-booking! Thank you

Wow wow wow.....unbelievable quality and quantity.Just had afternoon tea at the Mermaid Quay branch.Can't fault it...lovely helpful young lady serving us...nothing was too much trouble.Ut could have been 'the scene' from When Harry met Sally with all the oohs and has coming from our table.Amazing....thank you.

Had an amazing waffle with strawberries, white chocolate and icecream, looked amazing and tasted fantastic highly recommended

What an amazing place!!!!!!!! I came here for the Halloween afternoon tea and they truly went above and beyond. The staff were so kind, helpful, attentive and warm. On top of that, the food was so delicious, and had some great personal touches. My favourite part was the crepe bites. Amazing! I would highly recommend.

Such a cute little place! I only had a cheese toastie, but I saw someone else's afternoon tea and I definitely will be returning for one myself!
