I had booked a meal for my wife's birthday via the online booking. This was confirmed with a polite phone call the day before, at which point I was asked if this was for a special occasion. I mentioned my Wife's birthday and they noted this as part of the booking.When we arrived, the greeting staff were very polite and offered to take our coats, after which they kindly directed us to our table. The table had been decorated with Birthday confetti and a happy birthday balloon, which was a nice little touch.The waiting staff were very polite, however the service was much slower than we would have expected given the restaurant was not busy at this point. This resulted in us waiting 20mins to be asked what we would like to drink. We noted our server seemingly more interested in talking to other members of staff than seeing to our, and other, tables.The food more than made up for the slow service and was well worth the wait. The staff were also happy to make alterations from the menu, making the experience that much better.A special Birthday desert which had a hand written 'Happy Birthday' message on it was brought out at the end. My wife was very delighted with this gesture, although it was difficult to fully appreciate it after all the food we had eaten!Once done with the meal you will have the choice of a very short walk to the Alea casino or a slightly further walk into Nottingham town centre. Making the restaurant perfectly positioned to continue your night however you see fit. Hopefully luck is on your side if you venture into the Casino!All in all, it was a good meal that was only really let down by the slower than expected service.

Considering it’s a high end name on the door, the food was anything but.For most of the meal we thought we could make better ourselves at home which takes the fun out of fine dining especially when celebrating a birthday.Our lamb steak we ordered medium rare and on the receipt it stated “medium” on both of them.The birthday sorbet was a nice touch, as was the balloons and decorative confetti.Don’t forget to mention if you’re stopping over in the city or seeing a show then they give you a discount for supporting the city’s revenue.

The only thing I didn’t like about this restaurant is that it joins the casino next door via a shared bar. So the noise coming from the casino was a bit off-putting. The food was delicious. We had the fillet steak with garlic king prawns.

It is exciting to try new places, but time and time again, when we try to go somewhere else, we are disappointed in comparison to MPW. When you go to the Nottingham steakhouse you know the food will be amazing, it's not overly complicated or fussy, it's just quality ingredients cooked/baked well. Staff are lovely and I just haven't been anywhere that comes close to how good the food is.My advice is to not eat all of the dinner so you have room for pudding as you don't want to miss out on that. Definitely will visit again and again.

Celebratory meal for our son's Graduation. Restaurant made us feel most welcome and had dressed the table with a balloon and confetti ( as they had done for all celebrants that evening). Food and Service was first rate, couldn't be faulted. They went the extra mile to ensure a memorable evening was had by all. The staff are a credit to you MPW. Thank you.

This Marcos Pierre White steakhouse is in the local casino in Nottingham. It has a nice decor and atmosphere with very friendly staff. We started with the beetroot starter which was decent but the scotch egg had a very weird texture to the outside. The steak was large and we ordered a medium rare but it came out well done. Crème brûlée was not too bad.

My partner and I went to the Nottingham branch.The service and the environment were faultless! The service in particular was brilliant, very friendly staff; I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The strawberry bubblegum drink shown in the pictures was wonderful (it is a non-alcoholic cocktail). The lady said it was her first time making that drink and it was absolutely amazing, I would have that every day.The only reason why it is 4 stars and not 5 is the food. The food was lovely, but the main courses were not special enough. The main courses nice enough but not as astonishing as the service and the environment. Instead it was rather average, the billionaire slice (with edible gold, I forgot exactly what it was called) was very nice, but the mousse was excessively heavy.
