Warner Hotels - Corton

Just returned yesterday with a group travelling on our coach.Bernie at Reception, extremely welcoming and helpful, Loui our waiter for 2 nights, outstanding service, Mary, our Breskfast waitress, brilliant service.A few minor concerns in restaurant one evening, which could simply of being dealt with if the F&B manager had dealt with differently, and informed his staff of what to do when restaurant full to capacity, e.g. keep customers informed, stops any irritable dinners...Room was fine, apart from Boiler storage cupboard that should of being locked, but wasn't, and items found in there, however, after speaking to Berni at reception, swiftly sorted by housekeeping team...On the whole, a very good stay, after being to many warners both work/privately.Jason, Leisure staff gave a brilliant fun 1/2 hour of Aqua exercise, jolly man.....Housekeeping on one of the days, a little lack for Warners, just threw duvet over bed, not tucked in etc as their normal presentation, and I learnt that this had being the same fir most of our passengers on said day, I did inform them, maybe housekeeping were rushing that day, as other private guests did arrive mid week (wednesday).

Adequate room, in house entertainment ok, guest entertainment better. Extremely expensive drinks - over £20 for 2 glasses of wine, and gluten free food provision appalling, two evenings of ham and miserable salad wasn’t what I had in mind for a weekend away. Plus had to have the same starter all 3 nights due to “supply issues “. After more than 15 years of get togethers, we won’t be going back

Excellent service from all staff. Good activities on the daytime although crazy golf course needs updating and swim pool small. Basic rooms a bit on the small side but comfy big bed and clean all through. Fantastic evening entertainment and meals are top class.

The location is great, especially if you are gifted good weather. Entertainment and environment was more suited to an older crowd with customers averaging in their 70s with some in to their 90s, so being a couple in our 40s, it wasn't quite what we expected. That said, everyone was friendly, the service was great. The food was ok, not bad but nothing special either.The accommodation was lovely and clean, fantastic location to the facilities however we did have dirty towels, which were soon replaced when we brought it to the receptions attention.A brilliant weekend for older couples who want to enjoy a more relaxed pace of entertainment and leisure.

Lovely ADULTS only hotel, great 4 day break with lovely food and good entertainment. We felt well looked after and enjoyed it very much. It would be a good place to go with a group of friends. It's even better with no children around.

A cracking location and nice accommodation. Beach was only a 10 minute walk away. I did feel as though I brought the average age of people staying down by about 15 years but great entertainment. If you are looking for wild parties this will not be for you. If you like a bit of classic dancing you will love it. The acts/bands/singers are great.It was a child free zone, which was also nice.

Everything was wonderful from reception staff cleaners waiter to our table was excellent and the entertainment crew were beyond amazing the best we have had so far their shows were brilliant the only complaint I have is that the food wasn't as good as previous years and there is not enough choice at lunch you used to do a great panini and brilliant sandwiches but it's not stopping us from coming again we'll do to you all

A lovely place to go, made really nice by the staff who couldn't do more to make your stay enjoyable. They were friendly, funny, knowledgeable, helpful and made what might have been an ordinary experience into a more than memorable one.The food was of good quality, in the main beautifully presented, and such a wide variety. We were never hungry. It was also nice that you had the same table every day and that's where you sat for the entertainment too , so you got to know your server and they got to know you and your needs.We didn't stay for all the evening's entertainments because we were tired, but what we saw, heard and experienced was excellent.Activities were also varied and it was fun to do new things, or choose not to join in, there was no pressure. Some were led, like archery, shooting and line dancing, some you just did yourself like short bowls, boule and crazy golf - all the equipment was there along with instructions very good.The loss of one star was due to the room, which was clean and tidy, but the shower room needed some care, they'd stuck a non slip mat on the shower floor and black mould was growing under it which was a shame as it made the shower look dirty. The paint in that room was also starting to flake.However, it was lovely to wake every morning and be able to see the sea from our balcony and our bedroom window, the beach was accessible by descending 90 quite steep steps to a narrow promenade; turn right to get to the beach; left to go a short way before the path stops. Be aware of the tide times which are displayed at the top of the steps before you go though! The view more than made up for the shower room walls!There was a car boot sale on the field update the camp on the Tuesday morning, worth a walk around, lovely, interesting people with a variety of stuff.We went out to Southwold one morning - what a lovely place, about 40 minutes south of Corton - well worth the trip, another morning we went to Great Yarmouth, about 17 minutes north of Corton, parking expensive and a lot of shops, but this is the place to buy your rock and souvenirs.We would return, based on our experience this time. Our visit was in October.

First time at Corton and it was not quite what I was expecting. The staff were excellent as was the service. Food was excellent with a varied choice at all meal times. Our room was a good size, clean and comfortable but could have had a fan in it as the weather was very hot and there was no through draught to cool things down. Shower room was great size. The hotel is geared for the older guest and we did feel a bit underage but this didn't detract from the quality on offer. We could have been warned about the nudist beach just along the coast! Entertainment was varied and well organised.

Spent 5 days in chalet with gorgeous view overlooking the sea. Chalet was spacious, clean & nicely decorated.BUT….the shower cubicle needs re grouting & limescale needs removing !!The staff were excellent… friendly & hard working. A special mention to the ladies cleaning our chalet & a huge thank you to our waiter John who was so attentive, hard working & very amusing. Compliments also to the chefs.
