My carer used this company to attend his theory test on the 18th July at Wolverhampton and charged less than £12.50 (£2.60 less than other quotes we’d had) and the base operator and driver was absolutely amazing and so polite!However,today my carer called for a taxi for tomorrow to go from Walsall to willenhall and was rudely told by the base operator that it would be a waste of time as it would cost £17 just to willenhall library which is MORE than my carer paid to go further to Wolverhampton city centre!!! Not to mention that our budget for this journey is our business and certainly NOT for a base operator to assume whilst also losing the company business during this cost of living crisis! I was a base operator for years before I became wheelchair bound and I would never have presumed the customers financial situation and lost the company business,the question my carer asked was for a quote/price not a incorrect judgement on whether we can afford it (even though given previous fares in the last week alone stipulate that the base operator or/and quote was way out of line!).Sadly in 1wk I’ve gone from only wanting to call Tomkins for ALL of my taxi needs to NEVER wanting to call them ever again,im currently unsure whether to log a complaint with Walsall council for consideration at Tomkins next license review,and I’ve only currently not proceeded because of the awesome base operator and driver from the 18th July (just 1wk ago),my advice is whoever was your base operator on 24th July at approx 5pm….sack them!

Paz is one of the best drivers I have come across with Tomkins. He is very reliable, good time keeper, helpful and courteous. He drives a nice car, felt so relaxed and comfortable. Thanks Paz

Fantastic service I'm not from the West Midlands area, I have had several drivers all are friendly and do their best to provide an excellent service,Every driver I have had has friendly open conversation with me making my journeys very pleasant.My last driver paz went out of his way to help me catch the train I needed to get home on time.I highly recommend this firm I believe its one of the oldest taxi firms in the area and quite clearly the best, nothing is too much trouble and the service is always provided with a smile and a happy attitude,Wish we had a firm like this from where I am from,Friendly, warm, efficient and well pricedWell done tomkins taxis keep up the good work.

Had the pleasure of meeting Paz a couple of times. He is one of the nicest drivers I’ve met. He’s very courteous, reliable, and a good time keeper. A genuine nice person. After reading reviews I called the office to get a quote, the man I spoke to was very polite and didn't push me to book there and then. I am not from the area, the quote I was given was good, considering it was 2 drops and quite a distance. I would definitely recommend, and use them again. Paz was our driver who is very polite and punctual and a very good driver. Thanks for a great service
