Venture Abroad

Just back from Adelboden after an amazing week of adventures. Transport and accommodation was well organised and day trips planned expertly. Special mention to Lydia who went above and beyond to support our group, not only with logistics and local advice but with a variety of challenges within our group which she handled with professionalism, kindness and warmth. Thank you venture abroad and in particular, Lydia for making our trip memorable and special and for making everyone feel valued and looked after.

A large space, typical Swiss Chalet, the girls bedrooms were smaller than the photos showed, but it was good. Although I am sure we left it cleaner than we found it!However Lydia our Rep definitely went the extra mile, she was absolutely amazing. She really looked after us.

I have just returned from an amazing holiday in Switzerland with Venture abroad. Our rep Lydia was brilliant! She was very knowledgeable of the area and if she didn’t know she would find out for us. She even went with me to the hospital after I fell down the stairs and didn’t leave till she knew I was back safe. Would definitely return.

Our trip to Switzerland was quite simply out of this world - facilitated in resort by the awesome reps, Lydia and Jenny, who were just there to facilitate and ensure we were all safe and well and able to organise our transport. We had pre-booked all of our excursions through Venture Abroad, and had all our timings worked out, but it was great for Lydia to validate them and ensure the bus reservations were made. She was able to give good advise based on local knowledge. They became part of our group, accompanying us on some excursions, leading hikes and joining for dinner, and we will miss them very much.The accommodation was clean and tidy as expected, and the owners were on hand for any issues. Beware of low beams if you have tall participants! Access to a drying room is always a bonus in the mountains as the weather can be unpredictable.I can't say more than the whole experience in resort was simply fantastic.

Super happy with service, support and our trip. The VA team were helpful and responsive and we had a bespoke tour that was just what we hoped for. Thank you Katie and all the team for your care, work and help and we look forward to the next trip.

We used Venture Abroad for a Girlguiding trip to Belgium for a long weekend. Fabulous experience for our first international, personal support all the way with expert guidance and local knowledge provided. Would recommend Venture Abroad for your group trips.

Our Venture Abroad reps Lydia and Jenny were absolutely brilliant whilst we were in Adelboden. They updated us each day, went over our programme and even when there were train/bus changes, kept in contact throughout which made the whole experience stress free. They went above and beyond with bookings, little tips, arranging delivery of pizza etc and were so friendly and supportive. You have 2 gems there, they were wonderful!

We took a trip to Brussels with 40 Guides and Rangers. We had excellent help and support from the Venture Abroad team!

The tour operator was useful, thought. We we very happy with what was offered to us. Lydia was very helpful, knowledgeable of the area and aways very cheerful. The reason a star has been lost is that the was poor communication about extra money being needed for transport booking fees which lead to us cancling a day but we found a alternative.

Venture Abroad helped our Scouts and Explorers have the trip of a lifetime to Iceland. They gave us confidence every step of the way, from the early planning stage all the way through to the trip itself. The whole event was really smooth and we can't wait to book our next trip.
