Had my (07 Ford Fiesta) Air Con recharged for just £60 including labour, I was able to drop in and have the work done while I waited. It's great to have cool air whilst driving. I'm pleased with the service and the price. WOULD recommend

Had a service and MOT yesterday. All seems ok and friendly enough. A word of warning though. This garage charges £60 = VAT for an MOT when the maximum that can be charged on the government website is £54.85 and there should be no VAT. When I queried this, I was told that they could charge what they like. as they have to take it elsewhere for an MOT (in my case, next door), as they do not do this themselves. This was never explained to me when I booked my car in. I feel cheated as I'm not even sure that charging VAT on something that clearly is not VAT rated is legal.

I was recommended Dan by another garage in fact who couldn't take on the work as they were too busy. What can I say. Great bloke and so flexible and understanding. He has actually made what has turned out to be a very expensive job which we couldnt afford in one hit, into us being able to have the work done and it being manageable financially. What a gentlemen, you don't come across many small business like this these days :)
