My 74 year old cousin recently bought a car from KMC, nice little car and she's pleased with it. She did have an issue with the tyre pressures, she felt they didn't feel right when she was driving it. She visited the garage after a couple of weeks to ask them to check them. They refused saying it had just had it's MOT and therefore wouldn't need them checking. When she drove over to visit me in Norfolk she asked me to have a look so I checked them all I found the pressures very low, Fronts were 19 and 21 psi against a requirement of 29 and rears were 22.5 and 23 against a requirement of 26 psi. I had a general look round and noted the front nearside tyre was very low on the outer edge. Given the wear and the UK requirement of 1.6mm across 3/4 of the tread I think the tyre is legal but not sure how long it would be before it needs changing. This is the 'roundabout tyre' so gets the most wear but as the car has just been MOT'd and sold after the garages pre-sale inspection I was surprised to see it. Photo attached, I'm waiting for a call back from the company to discuss the way forward.My point with writing this review is to point out that if a company can neglect something as basic as tyre pressures, and tyre wear when presenting a car for sale (it's got a new MOT), then also to deny the checking of the pressures for a recent customer when requested, one should really consider how they treat their customers, what attention they take with detail, before you do business with them. I wait the call back with interest, 2 stars at the moment, regards, CliveUPDATE. Just got a call from KMC, the gentleman wasn't happy that my cousin had asked me to get involved. He told me as much. However, during the call has said the garage are willing to have a look at the tyres as they feel that as the wheels have been refurbished (tyres off) they could be going down.....Apparently they were busy when my cousin went in about the pressures but 'there is an airline available and she was welcome to test the pressures herself' . That's a good point, when she was here I should have given her the foot pump and gauge and told her to get on with it.Now I have to add a real positive to this review, I wasn't aware that the scrape my cousin put on the car the first week was touched up with matched paint that KMC got for her so it seems they have been helping her out, I thought the paint was a good match. Nice one KMC.Further to my point about the well worn tyre, picture below, the wear 'wasn't enough for an MOT advisory' which I agree with, just wouldn't have sold me that car with a tyre like that on it.So, I got a call back;Airline was available when my cousin to use when she visited about the tyresThey maybe all going down as they have recently been off the rims so they are willing to take a look at the tyre pressures'send her in!The tyre must be OK as they don't sell vehicles with advisories

Malcolm runs a first class car garage , no pressure hard sell , great looking cars and easy communication, the car had just been freshly jet washed before the test drive which went really well, my first experience using this garage could not of gone better, great little fiesta with a warranty . Thanks again Malcolm, hope to use your garage again in the future.

Brought a car only 3 years old only to discover it had been involved in a very bad accident and had been re sprayed very very badly which was put right by Castle coach works . It now looks like it just come from the v w show room thanks to my wallet. I think its fair to say I will steerclear of them in the future . This is a honest and truthful review

Very thorough, reputable company. Bought a Vauxhall from them last Christmas and have been very happy with it since. Would buy from them again.

I got my Kia Rio from here iam so pleased with it the service is good last week I took my car back for an MOT and collected my car, and got home in just over an hour. If yourlooking for a second hand car this garage is the one to come to.

Disgusting company, 5p.dropped.from a ltr of fuel and they pit the price up a day before, just walked past today and it's even higher. Nice to see someone benefiting from the Ukraine war even though oil prices are down.Companies like.this need to be named and shamed

Very interested in a first car for my grandson. Malcolm at KMC very professional in showing the car and explaining the conditions of sale. I paid the deposit. The car then being KMC serviced and 12 months MOT applied, before handover. During the KMC service a fault was found with the engine. Did not effect the current running of the car but would have shown up at the next annual service and needing repair, at my expense. Malcolm immediately told me of the situation and gave me back my deposit, whilst he started repair. A very honest dealer in cars.

BEWARE!!!!!! They are liars. I bought a Alfra Romeo from this company, my first ever car and just passing my test. They said to me we want to make sure nothing happens to you and you have the best quality first car. They did a MOT and it passed. However what they didn't tell me is when I went to get the car checked up everything had a 1 month life span left. Break Discs needed changing, there was a hole in my tire, there was a problem with electric power steering. Also big problem was there was a leak in the turbo. So when phoning them about all this, they accused me of doing wheel spins with the car to ruin a tire. So I showed them the millage I bought it at and the millage I had now and how can I do wheel spins when literally the millage on the car was the same. Also during the first lockdown said to me that they would fix the leaked turbo and they would phone me when they reopened. It's been almost a year and still no phone call to fix it. Ive had to fix it out of my pocket and they did not help me when showing them what the full service said and what I needed to make the car drivable again without me having a serious accident. But they didn't care and was quite rude about saying if I wasn't happy return it and they will sell it again. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!!!!

Went to KMC looking for a car, spoke to Malc who didn't have what I was looking for but put me onto one he knew of which I bought. He even listened to my car which had an engine problem and gave me some much needed advice, even helped me sell it, genuinely nice bloke. I highly recommend this company for great honest service, thanks Malc.

Definitely a recommended place to either buy or fix a car. My mother bought a car recently and we got outstanding service from Lawrence which made bring my own car for a service and other repairs needed. (I think her her name is Jess ) at the service desk was really helpful and friendly, I got called about some repairs that needed to be done and they were really helpful and helped to be as cost effective as possible- which is really helpful these days. All round I am so impressed with their services that I will continue to use Kingsthorpe Motors without hesitation and would highly recommend to anyone else.
