There is a great choice of products but if you need help from staff forget it as they all hide. This store, in my opinion, has a very serious issue with badly trained staff as they should be visible and ready to help customers. The one good staff member was the friendly lady at the till. I very much doubt that I will return here.

Dobbies is a lovely place to visit. Price range does vary alot. Clean and tidy. Lots of nice interesting plants and planter styles.

Very disappointed. Arrived at 11.25 and waited 15minutes to be served, only to be told lunches couldn't be ordered until 12, despite menu stating from 11.30. We were unable to order and wait until 12 but was told to join the queue until 12. We explained our 18 month baby would appreciate something urgently but nobody seemed to care. We then ordered coffee which was warm so I went back explaining it was cold. The answer I was given was 'didn't you drink it straight away'. The whole experience was most disappointing. We left without making our purchases.

This place is not very good at all. Yes, plenty of parking garden centre is nice for a walk around. But the cafe is a joke to be honest we were hear today a lovely new lady on the cash register not much staff around at all this poor lady had a massive cue to deal with and the other staff members just gorping at her not helping her in the slightest took 45 mins just to order food women who brings the food is rude tryed to ask a question and she just walked off from us. Dont get me started on the prices here are ridiculous, especially with the standard of food that is presented here. £2.50 for a can of room temperature drink over 8 pound for a sandwich and thats the cheaper stuff definitely not worth the money here to be honest. You need more supportive staff here too if your going to charge high prices for food then the food should be to a better standard. Also had the pleasure of visting the toilets also at a poor standard they look dirty there was no toilet roll in the only cubicle you could use since the one next door was not in use. You have a toilet room checklist timed from 8am till close with not one time signed on it.

Cafe review. Not only was the food excellent it was matched by the service, too. Good value and in a serene and calm atmosphere with a very pleasant views to boot.Garden Centre review. A good selection of well tended plants at fair prices. The layout was a tad haphazard and rather random. Looked a tad tired in places and end-of-season.

The garden centre itself is good, a nice selection of plants and tools etc. The plants all seem well cared for and in good condition, staff are friendly and helpful. If you're going for the café however, you may be disappointed. I had a membership card and my husband and I would visit to get the free hot drinks every month, but despite what day or what time we went there it would always take at least 30 minutes of queuing just to get 2 drinks and a slice of cake. One time we ordered sandwiches and never even got them, I had to go and request a refund after waiting for over an hour, only to be told our order never went through and nobody thought to let us know - even after we asked!! The cake is nice enough, a bit hit and miss, but the drinks are below average. If you want a good coffee go to a proper café - I make better coffee at home with the instant stuff. The food (when it does show up) is also very average at best. It's clear that the staff in the café area are in desperate need of some training, often looking clueless and taking forever to do anything. I've cancelled my membership card, as it's not even worth the free drinks, we would rather go elsewhere!Edit: reducing my rating to 2 stars from 3 after getting a generic response to my review from management and seeing this same response on other similar reviews that people have been posting since over a year ago about the café being understaffed (and undertrained), unclean and the food and drinks of low quality. The only response they can manage is a copy and paste blurb of we're sorry you didn't enjoy this

Great place for a bite to eat. From meals to a cuppa and cake. Bright seating area. Staff always friendly and helpful. Although last time the lady serving behind the counter could have had some help. The wait was quite substantial. The Garden Centre itself is quite pricey, but you get what to pay for if you want it to last. But you can always find a bargain. Good selection of gardening accessories. And all things required to keep your garden happy. Would visit again.

Let down once again, limited food due to staff illness, decided to look elsewhere for a quick bite to eat.On another note the toilets although warm were particularly smelly, not pleasant.

The soft play area here is a great indoor, enclosed, safe space for children under 4. Booked time slots prevent the area from becoming overcrowded and therefore dangerous. Cafe, clean tables and chairs. A great birthday party idea as available for longer, private hire.
