Excellent location for boat repairs, all you need within a few miles, saved me time when overhauling a sailing boat. Stuart and Andy are very helpful and friendly, excellent pizza place next door aswell! Will certainly use them again. Note no shower as advertsied.

Although at first glance it would appear to only be a place to catch both Hythe and isle white ferries and a place to park. Carry on to the end of car park. There are seats to relax and take in. The lovely views across the watertoward Hythe. It's also a wicked place to see cruise ships entering and leaving Southampton i love Fishing there. its a lovely place to fish and meet other anglers. A pub in Shirley take children with dads. Mums there to teach them how to fish also they learn all the different types of fish crabs ect. Lovely place must see for yourself.

Good, economical place to keep a boat friendly, helpful staff and a good community of knowledgeable bertholders, and a peaceful location with kingfishers and egrets and a variety of wildfowl, despite being close to the city center. The only downside is that it is basic and has no showers yet, and is by the scrap yard. I prefer it as it's easy to get my boat alongside compared to a more cramped marina.
