New Stitches

Very talented and friendly tailors. Today they took up two pairs of jeans for me in less than 2 hours. I’ve been using them for over 4 years for tailor services and dry cleaning and have always been very pleased with their work.

Went there to request professional wet clean, the man there perhaps the owner assure me he would be able to carry out this service. My jacket came with water stains all over it. My brand new once worn jacket ruined! Went to another cleaning service and they said it had been through normal wet wash.Never again! Not from businesses that lie to take your moneyHad to post a star to add review otherwise they do not deserve a single star rating

I Extremely Recommend New Stitches. I got 3 made to measure dresses made, it was just great. Fits perfect and was finished in a very nice an neat way and the price I've paid was very reasonable.

Some of my high-quality brand trousers pockets got holes in time. I was not sure whether it would be repairable, but New Stitches did an amazing job for a very affordable price. Very satisfied with their service and smiling staff.

Quality -couture level- garment mending and restructuring. I have been using New Stitches for a while, for difficult fixes on good quality materials (rips in woollen tartan skirts, widening waist bands on pleated kilts, re fitting zips into leather, tailoring cocktail dresses for best fit, restructuring a favourite mens shirt).I have been extremely impressed, and grateful for, the originality and problem solving approach New Stitches bring to each challenge, and their tailoring skills in making old clothes work as new again.My experiences of their customer service are very different from a previous post: Possibly crossed wires language/culturally can cause misunderstanding. My experience is certainly a positive one.

I had a disgusting experience with this company when i took my full length dress to be altered.On collecting the dress i tried it on as i noticed defects at the hem where it had been cut with no precision or care.When i had the dress on i noticed that the dress was in fact different lengths from one side to the other. I mentioned i was upset and not at all happy with the finished product so they offered to cut it again meaning the dress would then in fact become shorter and no longer a 'full length' at all.I did not want them to do this so asked if i could have a discounted rate as this was just not acceptable. I was greeted with a very angry man who was confrontational and aggressive that he nearly ripped my dress out of my hands when i was discussing payment. I was told that unless i paid in full i would not be leaving with the dress. I left in tears.I work in Richmond and live locally so this is not the sort of customer service i am used to experiencing, especially in such a warm and friendly area.I will never use this company again but i hope they will not do the same to someone else.

Took in my new North Face jacket to shorten sleeves.. now is lumpy, they bunched up the quilted lining and did a sloppy job. It looks fine on the hanger, but trying to wear it is a mess. They also didn't have it ready when promise..I am sorry I accepted a recommendation yo try this tailor. Now I have to pay more to get it fixed elsewhere as jacket unwearable.
