So, having started training some 10 years previously at another airfield & school and been interrupted by the arrival of 3 gorgeous kids I turned to FTL.The rest is history! Ivan & Tamsyn run a professional, friendly and inclusive flying school. The 'club' atmosphere was really important to me - picking up all that knowledge from listening to & asking fellow students and qualified pilots alike.Now a PPL myself and flying from Elstree, I never get airborne without popping into FTL for a chat & cuppa. Also great to have all the instructors there just to answer any questions for me and offer invaluable advice on the weather.If you're looking for a top notch flying school, run & owned by a professional, caring & enthusiastic team who are genuinely passionate about aviation, look no further.........

My experience at Flight Training London has been phenomenal. The atmosphere is very positive and engaging and you can tell that the staff have a genuine love for aviation and wanting to get everyone learning the right way.The Instructors are very Professional, Friendly and Knowledgeable! The owners Ivan and Tamsin always go out of their way to talk with everyone and make them feel welcomed and comfortable. It’s clear from interaction with them that they truly want everyone to reach their goals.If you are in Hertfordshire or London this is the BEST flight school to learn how to become a Pilot! You will enjoy every lesson you take. I highly recommend FTL.

I have nothing but praise for the team at Flight Training London. My experience obtaining my PPL over the past 18 months has been exceptional. Captain Nadeem Elahi and the team were knowledgeable, helpful, and always willing to accommodate my ever-changing schedule. If you're keen to start flying, I highly recommend FTL!

We had an absolutely amazing first time experience. Our instructor John was amazing and guided us through the experience. And everything was so systematically organised. Absolutely loved it!

My first trial flight was an incredible experience! My instructor Ivan made me and my girlfriend feel extremely at ease and comfortable from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. I will definitely be continuing my flight training here.

For initially PPL I was lucky to get a real great instructor, however he moved to ACS in Scotland, so did I.Now need to reconnect to Ivan, to do a lesson with him, again !!it was an Outstanding experience!

FTL is an amazing school, I did my PPL there and am looking forward to doing the rest of my training with them too. From day 1 they teach you to take initiative and make you feel like a real pilot.I’d personally recommend to train with Nadeem, he’s a really patient and friendly instructor, he really pushed me out of my comfort zone to teach me better skills. He goes out of his way for his students and is very approachable to ask for advice on how to progress with your piloting!

UPDATE: Steadily progressing through my ppl training and it’s such a great environment and staff really are super friendly. No pressure or hard sell just learn at your own pace. Many are quick to review a business when they are no good but very few review a business again when they carry on offering the best service time and time again. Still super happy with FTL. Thanks to Ivan, Jaime, Phillipa and Anchal.——————————————————————Had a trial flight booked with another company at elstree (won’t mention name) who let me down as instructor did not turn up.Popped into Flight Training London on the off chance who were able to slot me in as a student had cancelled. The information provided and customer service was far superior to the other school, so much that I have now decided to stick with them for my ppl.Jaime was great and even if you are not looking to pursue a ppl I recommend a trail flight to experience handling a small aircraft.Great first experience

We booked a flight at FTL last week and did it this morning.The school is very professional, unlike many other in this business.They could not find a twin engine DA42 plane under the carpet, as it was fully booked when I called last minute. But they clearly stated what they could and could not do, and then delivered exactly what they claimed.The price was also reasonable considering it's a professional structure and instructor.We were flown by a very competent and friendly guy who took us on a one hour route towards the Elizabeth II bridge and back, with view over London.I'll come back for the DA42 if I have the right occasion and budget !

Had a great experience in our experience-flight yesterday, everything and everyone from the booking to when we left the site were professional, accommodating, and super friendly. As well took the time to make sure we relax before the flight and every step within, answered all the questions we thrown at them and asked for more :-). To summarise - a really fun experience, and well accommodated even for a person who ranked his nervousness 7/10 before we’ve boarded. Thanks everyone - you were 10/10!
