Good store which both buys and sells second hand games, DVD's, Blu-ray's and tech. They always have a good selection of goods available. During busy times the wait time to be served can be a while but the staff are always friendly.

Stood in the store for 15 minutes whilst staff chatted to two customers like friends then walked off to talk to another colleague leaving me just stood there. Appalling customer services. Went to Techout, 5 minute walk away and was served next, no staff ignoring me with 4 minutes and they had two other customers too.

Staff chat very loudly about feeling ill or should be at home sick. Something about a dislocated hip. The particular staff member is waiting for their sick note tomorrow so will not be in.Very unpleasant experience staff seemed very disinterested in making sales. We’re more interested in chatting amongst themselves.Even rude to customers and told them to look online and stated they were heading on lunch break now so online is there only option.

I usually enjoy going into cex but went in on Friday 18th August around 11.45am to see if I could sell my old phone. I know my phone had some cons to it for example the back of the phone had some scratches to it but I just went in to see if I could sell it and if I can to see how much I could have sold it for. So went in and asked to person behind the till and shown him this phone to see if I could sell it and he spoke to his colleague but she had headphones in due to testing them and he said I will have to find out tomorrow if I can sell it but him and his colleague where very rude about it laughing and being incredibly rude then he turned on the phone and laughed and rudely said no he won't buy it due to Burns on the screen which I didn't know about. If I was in his shoes I would have politely said why we couldn't sell it but him and his colleague was so rude. As I said I go in quite a lot and never had an issue before but I was left quite annoyed on how rude they both were.

Attended mid-morning, staff were busy but still had time to acknowledge I was there, promptly took time to take details and deal with my sale, really can't fault, will use again

Purchased an Xbox from Barnstaple CEX, when we got home within 3 days it stopped working and would crash at loading pages for games.Tried to return it and was told we had to go away and come back with video evidence of the fault as the chap in-store would not do anything about it on the day. We returned to store today and were told they would not accept video footage and we should not have been turned away on the first day we tried to return it and it should have been checked when we bought it in. Waste of our time and also embarrassment for the member of staff I spoke to today!Thankfully, the person we spoke to today was very apologetic, tested the Xbox and gave us a refund. Won't be buying electrical goods from here again and some of your staff obviously need better training on what they should be doing!

Selected 3 Ps4 games took them to the counter, ignored by 3 members of staff, after patiencly waiting 4 minutes I placed the games on the counter and left. Reading other comments there seems to be a theme going on here.

I just went in for a look around, and ended up with 4 Xbox games.For a small shop they had a wide range of games and dvds.

Walked in and had a quick look at the phones but turned around and walked out again.It felt dingy and uninviting.Possible not helped by the grey wet day outside but having said that we chose to be out in the rain than in the shopDidn't have any interaction with the staff so they could be nice, the shop felt very uninviting

CeX Barnstaple. Cain, Geary and Brodie... in fact the whole team are wonderful. They're supportive to each other in helping customers and Cain and Gerry shared their expertise with me generously giving time (on 2 separate occasions as I'm such a tech ludite) so that I could get my PC sorted with the Samsung monitor I bought.
