1st in queue. 23 mins later call answered. Booked a call back for 2wks ahead. Also asked to book a face to face appointment but nothing for next 2 wks. Can call 8am and try each morning or attend 8am at surgery. Fair enough, but the rude receptionist should look for another job. No compassion and desperate to get me off the line. Why does the manager" employ so many people who are not up to the job? Get past them and doctors and practice nurses are professional and very helpful."

I like the more experienced docs here they are straight to the point as I have been coming here since 1997 There is some great poliet spoken Receptionist that will really try to help you ...but am always polite with them. I had a voicemail on an accident they didn't know it was recording voicemail as they said that b#tch is talking about us receptionists her voicemail is aimed at ladywell then proceed to call other of there colleagues to listen to my phone .Voicemail, at the time my husband had passed away was experiencing nasty calls from friends &family so I changed my voicemails to my voice saying give me a text if you really need me iand if am not answering my our calls its either caught bad time or I just don't like you. I made that 2weeks after his death am not proud to have that as a voicemails I was just grief stroke, phoned them to say don't worry explained when and why it was made, no apology whatsoever just some of the receptionists laughing at the back ground. To this day . I don't know what to do if its HR you phone or... I obviously can't phone receptionhave there accidental voicemail still to this day on my phone.

I've always had a great experience since I started coming to this surgery. Receptionists are lovely, have never had to wait too long on the phone or for an appointment, and all the doctors and nurses are caring, compassionate, professional and have always taken me seriously. I've been registered with a number of surgeries in Edinburgh and have had the best experience by far at this one. Would highly recommend registering if you live in the area.

I have always had very good experience with this practice. Doctors are fantastic. Very helpful, attentive, caring. Pauline at the Reception has been brilliant. I can’t recommend enough.

This new system of having to call at 8am to get any kind of appt including a phone appt is ludicrous. It's constantly engaged. Are we just making it impossible to gey an appt now?

Drop in clinic is absolutely shocking. I've been waiting with my 4year old child for an almost 2 hours for my turn. They claim each patient has 5min appointment but it's way more than that ! Appalling

Will be making a formal complaint when I get home from holiday Absolutely appalling trying to get a telephone appointment. Would not even give one star.

Used to be a great Medical Practice but not any more. Asked me to call at 8am for an emergency appointment at 8am next day, when I did, it took 17 mins to get through then was told a GP would call me back sometime before 1pm - Seriously? Just not good enough. I have to work too, this is a nonsense that needs sorted. Not exactly a timely response to the advice given to book an Emergency Appointment because of a specific concern/condition.

I have been with Ladywell West for about 11 years and have always been treated with the upmost respect by support staff, very helpful and all the Doctors are thorough, attentive and never rush you out the door.
