Such a disgusting letting agency. How dare you come into my mother's home and break the boiler and leave them with no heat or hot water. She has never missed a payment with you guys and you completely ignore her calls to ask when she'll be expecting the boiler to be fixed. Do not go near this appalling, dangerous company that leave families in poor conditions.

Been renting a flat for 6 month with bowker and moved into our first home A few days go, very pleased with the management and any jobs that doing get done as soon as they can. Really love our house it is beautiful we look forward to the future and having a family and we know we have a good lettings agency behind us. Thank you ginnie and the team you are superstars.

Based on my experiences as a landlord and using Bowker's management services from 2015 - 2018:The Good:Bowker are extremely quick at finding and moving tenants into properties. This means less time with an unoccupied property and more rent.In the past 12 months Bowker have had a member of staff join (Danielle) who has been excellent at keeping me up to date with property issues and answering my queries which has gone someway to rectifying the issues raised below.The Bad:Shocking communications at times. Whenever Bowker needed something from me (maintenance bill etc) they were quick to get in touch, however when i required something (confirmation of work being done or requesting an invoice for work carried out), I often had to ask multiple times.Suspicious policies. Bowker refused to pass on the contact details of any of the contractors who were employed to carry out work / maintenance on the property. This lack of transparency is very unnerving for a landlord.Mishandling of deposit. During a changeover between tenants, Ginnie Bowker the owner of the company emailed me directly to list the work that was required on the property following the move out of the previous tenants and reassured me that the full deposit would be used to carry out this work. However, in the course of time, it became apparent that this work had not been done, and as a result, when the next set of tenants moved out a deposit dispute ensued which was not resolved in my favour following Bowker's dishonesty.Failure to carry out routine checks. No record or correspondence regarding routine checks meant that my property was left in a poor state when tenants moved out.Lack of professional membership. Bowker are a wholly unaccredited firm. They are not members of the National Association of Estate Agents, The Ombudsman Scheme or the Association of Residential Letting Agents. As a result they are extremely difficult to be held accountable for their actions. This also highlights the poor standards that can be expected when dealing with Bowker.The lesson I learned: ALWAYS use an accredited agent!Final point: Looking at other reviews on Google I am shocked to see disparate reviews, with some being negative and others being positive. I find it difficult to believe that others could have such good things to say compared to my experiences. I would warn strongly against entrusting the management of your property to this firm.

Me and my family moved to Wigan 16 months ago and rent a property through bowker lettings. Any issues we have had it has been resolved either the same day or within a few days the staff are friendly and helpful and nothing is ever too much. We are currently looking for a 4 bedroom house as our children are getting bigger and bowkers are helping us with our search and have been really helpful regarding it. Highly recomment this estate agent for anyone finding a property to rent.

Fantastic experience during a very difficult time in which the lovely ladies Tracy and Ginnie helped me and my family so much. They went above and beyond for us that day we rang bowker and I thank you both deeply I will be forever greatful for the support you have given us. 5 stars for you ladies at bowker lettings fantastic agents.

Very feiendly, competent staff who will go out of their way to make you feel valued and endeavour to find something to suit your housing needs. Within one day of contacting Bowker lettings we where intoduced to Jason, a charming, flamboyant gentleman who certainly knows his stuff with a no nonsense approach who found us our ideal home. We paid the deposit and shook on a new contract for the house the same day thanks to Denny and Devon in the office pulling out all the stops for us. A very smooth transaction from start to finsh and I would highly recommend Bowker Lettings for anybody who is looking to rent a home. Thanks guys :)

Really rubbish staff are rude, job’s don’t get done, not helpful. Not impressed by this company at all. Everything about this company is appalling. Would not recommend at all

if I could give zero stars I would. Vile company and vile people. I'd rather be homeless than rent from these clowns. The properly we rented was absolutely disgusting, the place was and probably still is falling apart. Anyone considering going to these I urge you to stay away you will regret it.

worst estate agent you will ever deal with

Have a property that was managed by this incompetent, crooked and dishonest company. Went to pick up keys for the property a few days ago which they knew in advance as I was coming up from london. Ginnie the owner rudely tells me I have to pay a made up invoice to collect the keys shouting at me !? Everything on this invoice was already paid and deducted from the rent through out the year which is all shown in emails. Council tax for example was paid by me which I made them aware of after some confusion. It then takes 3 months for her to agree to pay around £500 they took for council tax which was in email ! It was never paid back, now she Is claiming she paid this form her on pocket???Then they threaten a winding up order which is laughable all the evidence is in emails which my accountant made them aware of, this made them very angry I said goodbye and left without the keys. Just got in the car and her brother comes aggresively shouting and saying that Ginnie is now crying and that I am to blame.Go to the property anyway to have look. Door turns out to be unlocked welcome to anyone passing by. It wasn't luck though no one was using it. Mouldy food and cigarettes on the floor even in bedrooms. ,rubbish everywhere , furniture broken and upside down and a broken window. To top it off washing machine and fridge missing.Why did they not inform my about any of this isn't this what I was paying for.
