Lovely hotel, food was fantastic for a vegetarian, good choice and tasty food. Golf courses are tricky but enjoyable. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Group of 12 of us spent 3 days / 2 nights here again for a Society golf tournament. Service, food, course and accommodation all excellent. Already planning to hold our Ryder Cup here next year.*EditThis was our fifth annual visit for the society tournament and it didn't disappoint. The course is in excellent condition, although as a high handicapper, I do wish they would trim the super rough" a bit shorter than knee height. Once again

Shorter leisure course ‘The Woods’ not enormously challenging yet still interesting enough for a casual round and well landscaped. Slightly annoying layout with a big walk between front and back nine. The longer championship course ‘the lakes’ is very nicely designed. A lot of water and plenty of interesting features and inventive design to keep you entertained but not overly challenging. Surfaces and general ground care could be better which lets down the course design. Greens were okay, sometimes a little fluffy and bobbling slightly. Fairways were as hard as stone, as were tee boxes. Some of the tee boxes were looking a little hairy and needed trimmed. The ground in general needed aerated, well watered and shown a little TLC to give it a premium feel. Not that high quality a course really albeit laid out and landscaped like a real premium club.

Played first week in October so course wet but playable , green in great condition can't fault the golf . HOWEVER, shocked when we finished our round at 4.40 and went to get a beer to watch our other group play up and was told the bar was shut ! Asked what time it shuts lady said 5pm . Stated that it wasn't 5pm its actually quater to but still refused a drink . Not great to shut the bar when golfers are on a golfing break and would like a drink after. Not great

Well setup for a golf weekend - 2 full courses and a 9 hole. Food was good, but a little pricey.Good course (we played Lakes), but expect it to be busy and slow, so over the 4.5h expected round time. Starter said it’s the 3rd busiest course in England!I’d recommend.

The hotel needs an update as it is getting very tired in places. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. Bar prices were a bit steep but the food was good especially the breakfast. The golf courses were both in reasonable condition and proved a good test of golf.

A great place to go to play golf, chill for a few days at the spa, or visit the countryside. Two golf courses to choose from each with its different challenges. A lot of water on the champion course.

Booked 2 night and 3 rounds through golfbreaks. The golf experience was 5 star, 2 great courses and managed well. The hotel experience was 3 star, mainly due to their unsocialable staff and pricing. Ive probably seen more personality from staff at McDonalds. The staff should take some training from the course guide, graham, lovely chatty guy. Pricing is just absurd. £13:25 for Atlantic Pale Ale and Guinness. £4 for a sausage roll etc. It made more sense to get a taxi for £10 into Grantham and get some normal priced beer with a bit of atmosphere. Overall would recommend as long as people are prepared for the negatives
