Nice site in a nice area . Offers good sized pitches , great facilities other than the toilets & showers which are in need of upgrading . The current toilets & showers are very poor for the size of the site . We were told there are plans to build new toilets & showers later on this year. This will be a great asset to Haxey Quays.

Had nice pitch by River, large campsite need pitch 2, 3,4,5.shameabout toilets and shower far to small for site. Own San advisable. Good pub adjacent and reasonable price.

Haxey Quays
Visited this campsite a couple of times now. Great location, 5 minute drive into the town for food/pubs or there is the pub opposite the road which is good next to the lake. Playground for kids. A peaceful place to visit. Friendly staff.

Lovely and peaceful. Alongside a river and beautifully maintained grounds. Not keen on the £1 shower = lose 1/2 A star ;-)

This is predominantly for caravans, the site is well maintained. There is tent camping (which we were doing) the toilet blocks are a decent walk away from the tent area so don't let yourself get desperate. The other people we met on site were really lovely.There is only one toilet block and as I said before its a good 3 minute walk from the camping field. And there is one shower for each male and female and one family shower - which is small. And the showers cost £1There is a good outdoor play area for kids and lots of space.While we were there, there was a husky meet also which meant load music till very late and then dogs howling.We may go back in the future as the people we met were so friendly.

If you're looking for a good place to have a quiet weekend this site is perfect, there's a river which runs through it and you are allowed to use your kayak or paddal board for free,there are 2 pubs and both are in walking distance toilets and showers were clean but could have been a few more of them considering the size of the site all in all i would use this site again ps the site is also dog friendly.

Need a new toilet block as this let's the place down also long walk to get to them if on the field side could do with portable toilets for camping like others sites do ,nice pub across road and river fishing is nice would be 5* if toilets were sorted.

Love this site! We have been 9 times now. Staff are really friendly and Heather never stops working. Even my mum who came to visit for the days said does she ever stop!! If we had not got a motorhome and had a caravan, we would have this sighted for the year! We feel like we know most folk on the site too and everyone is really friendly. I take the dog on walks around the area which is peaceful.

The 5 van site on here is excellent. Really big hard standing pitches , and they are right on the river idle so perfect for a spot of fishing . £22 a night which includes electric but you will be given a card with an electric allowance on it . The card has to be inserted into the electric meter. The water and elson is on the left when you are facing the river .. we will be returning here . There's some good predator fish in the river ...

Toilet and shower facilities are not clean and are quite a walk if your placed next to the children's play area there is always drama when I go here with the owner. We overheard him shouting at children and demanding to know where they are plotted to evict them and their parents we felt uncomfortable about this and heard he had split many family's up by asking them to remove there daughters from the group or wife's very unprofessional, however Heather was most helpful as always and should be the site manager
