Fab place. Saw red and black grouse. Curlew and lapwings. I imagine it gets very wet but we went after all this warm weather and lived it

Quite a few walks. We chose the 3 mile walk, mostly flat but some boggy terrain. Small car park for maybe half a dozen cars.

Beautiful place, very atmospheric, shame that what is left of the old mines is just been left to fall down & all visual history will be gone.

Lovely nature reserve. Good parking and well sign posted. Waste bin in the car park. Has a little bird watching hut which is the perfect view over the tarn. It also has an informative board about the wildlife that can be seen.

We took one of the easiest walks. But it was supper muddy in one section. Gravelly the rest. Not suitable for prams/wheelchairs. Has a toilet/visitors centre. We got lost once. But overall a good walk.

Amazing place if you like quiet scenery. Fairly easy walking and a great view of the Tarn.

If you love walking whilst out bird and wildlife spotting then this is a great place. Very open so can be cold and windy so come prepared fir the worst. Apart from that it's a great place out in the hills with a visitors centre and lots of wildlife to see.
