Upton Surgery

Incredibly efficient surgeries I have ever used. Extremely well managed with fantastic systems in place to ensure everyone that needs to see a GP gets to do so. A huge asset to the local community.

I can't understand why there are such negative reviews of upton surgery . We moved here from a practice in malvern, which was unbelievably dysfunctional, manned by rude, unhelpful staff and some angry, nasty GP's ( Yes, indeed). That is, if you ever had the displeasure of actually getting to see one. Upton surgery are extremely efficient , friendly and empathetic. Wait times on the phone are long , but that's because they are meticulously getting patients the right treatment at the right time. We have had to see doctors frequently for various reasons in the past month and have nothing but praise for the health care they deliver. In fact , I cannot understand why, if upton surgery can run like this, other surgeries , ought to be able to work on the same principles and values and should take a leaf out of their book.Upton surgery show they can make the very best of things for the patients they care for. In the face of chronic NHS chaos, they are a beacon and practice managers should be proud. With new dwellings expanding in the area they will face challenges, but I do believe they are, and will continue to be, one of the best practices by a country mile.

I find this surgery most unhelpful. I have been waiting to an ear appointment to have the simple procedure to unblock them for over six weeks now. I purchased at great expense a tool to unblock my ears about 4 weeks ago and thank goodness I can now hear quite clearly. The senior practitioners really do need to address these issues. Was asked by the receptionist whether or not I wished to remain on the list for an appointment in December and I said not to bother.

If this surgery is meant to be efficient heaven help us. While there are some helpful women on the desk some have grossly inflated ideas of who and what they are. An example a few weeks ago I was told by a Dr on the 111 call I should be at the surgery first thing in the morning and tell them I needed to see a Dr. Having done the unforgiveable and come as a patient without an appointment, the reaction from some remarkably stupid and overly officious woman on the desk They can't tell you to do that". She then came back and said i would have to wait

Must be one of the best doctors surgeries anywhere about. The partners, other doctors, nurse practitioners, surgery nurses and district nurses are all so professional, proactive, attentive and caring. I feel lucky to live within the catchment area.

I moved from haresfield/Kempsey surgery to Upton, after being recommended by all of my friends who suffer with mental health issues.They have been so much help within the last month than HF has in the year I’ve lived in the village.My doctor is super lovely and calm with me when I’m trying to explain my symptoms. Also the receptionist ladies are very kind

Seems to have very long queues every time I go. It never used to be like this before they made alterations to the public areas. Seems quite chaotic. The staff behind the counters sometimes seem quite stressed. I don't like it anymore. It used to be quite a tranquil, calm, place. Not now though.

We regularly take very elderly parents here and although always busy, nothing is too much trouble for anybody in the surgery. Receptionists always manage to fit us in and all medical staff give a superb, caring service.
