First time I've used Protyres and the reason I went to them is because they have an online booking facility. When I arrived the guys on reception were really friendly. I had my air con re-gassed, it took just under an hour and the price was better than other places.Quick and efficient service, I'll definitely use again.

Went to Protyres today for MOT and service. Had a pleasant surprise with the reception moved smaller and warmer. The toilets were new and nice and clean. They actually had a cleaner working in reception. The new receptionist John was very friendly and helpful. He did not push any unnecessary products or pretend that parts needed replacing that didn't. A trick pulled by many multi national firms which i have had previous experience of. I did have lots of recommendations which i was expecting as the car has done 100000 miles and is 17 years old. I've been using this garage for many years and there service is much improved. 4 star which for me is very high praise

I never leave reviews. But I called pro tyre at 13:50, pulled up at 14:00 and the guy on the desk helped me sort my new wheels out that were missing inners to the valves and needed pumping up, he was polite and helpful even though they were fully booked, he could of told me to go away to be honest and I wouldn’t of thought less of them, but 100% recommend if that is their attitude to doing a complete stranger a favour!!!

A few weeks back, I took my car in to have the alignment done. After waiting around for about an hour and a half, I was told I'd need to have tie end & track rod replaced as they had seized, preventing my wheels from being aligned. Fair enough. It's a 13 year old car. Wear and tear.Booked in a week later and left the car with them to repair. The next day, I pick up the car, and to my surprise (shock horror), the car is pulling to the right, just as it was prior to work being carried out.Fast forward 2 weeks and 4, yes 4 return journeys back to Protyre with a new loud clonking noise every time you turn the wheel, they still cannot figure out what the problem is. I had several technicians" at Protyre

My car failed the MOT at Protyre Colchester because of two front tyres being very worn (cords showing so not surprising) on the outside edges. I took a deep breath and asked for prices to fit them whilst I waited. I knew rough prices anyway and Protyre Colchester certainly did not take advantage, In fact they were very competitive. I guess this would be the ultimate test given my situation at the time and it showed me that I can trust these guys completely. Keep it up I’ll be back.

Amazing service! I ran out of brake fluid due to a slow leak somewhere that was supposed to be fixed at another mechanics. Mark made sure it was all filled up and safe to drive! Huge thanks!
