Spoke to Casey today after having an absolute disaster with logging in (due to my own stupidity). When I phoned I was a little stressed as it was regarding receiving my deposit back. Casey was calm, comforting and sorted me out straight away! The reason I couldn't log in is because I was using the wrong details, Casey explained what to do next time in the most kind way then went on to organise returning my deposit with me over the phone. He was pleasant, polite and cheery the whole time and made me feel at ease the whole time. Within a 10 min phone call with Casey my problem was solved, he couldn't have been more helpful. Thanks Casey for your help again.

It’s good to have this service however it needs to be a quicker process. Waiting months to recoup money which was rightfully ours in the first place, especially when the house was returned in a considerably better state than when we received it, was infuriating.

Steven was able to support me brilliantly during my lengthy process of getting back my deposit from a letting agency that kept using excuses to not pay it back. 10/10

Landlord provided no evidence after claiming my whole deposit, didn't participate in self remediation and sent someone else's tenancy agreement and inventory. I on the other hand painted the livingroom and front door, paid to replace both locks as I was provided one Yale key and no spare with my close door being kicked in repeatedly. I took videos of me leaving the flat and provided these as evidence, open and shut case? Nope. It took almost 4 months for me to get my deposit back and any time I contacted SDS was met with a complete lack of care. I can send anyone in the world cash instantly but a company the size of SDS it's two weeks? They make money of the interest held of people's money, whatever Mike Smith pays himself is too much. There needs to be a an alternative service as the lack of competition let's these people do what they want.

Totally impartial and applied common sense.If the landlord held the deposit I would not have got the same outcome.However, I do advise taking pictures and videos of the property on your 1st and last day.My agent used the online dashboard to report issues but I also emailed them as proof that I know I could go back to as the dashboard didn't let me see a history.Also keep pictures and receipts of anything you do to better the property. Never trust a spoken conversation always get it in writing.On Day 1 every is so friendly and you feel comfortable but on the last day it's not so much and the landlord in my case wanted all the deposit.The team here will give good advice.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of going through the adjudication process with them. I am writing this review to express my profound disappointment and frustration with the way my case was handled. They only accepted the landlord claims despite the faulty information they provided.
