Spalding Auction

If you don't know it is a commercial plant auction. Garden centres, your local High Street plant shop etc. all buy small to vast quantities there. Lorries from The Netherlands roll up full of bulbs as well as all sorts of plants shrubs as well. They are not proud, they will take money from anyone. We wanted a couple of thousand crocus bulbs. Picture the 3 foot wide display stand that you see in a garden centre with bulbs in front and a picture of the flower, where you can buy bulbs one or more at a time. Lot cheaper to buy the entire case in one go, of a net full. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly, easy to pay. There is also a accessory shop as well for all sorts of flowery type things.

Good place to go for allsorts of gardening products. Service always good. Tip: try to find a member of staff so they can help you as first visit touay get lost.

Very disappointed. There was 2 buckets of tulips, some bedding plants but lots of vegetables. I went for flowers so was disappointed. I was told that they a struggling to get flowers at the moment because of brexit. It is not being run as a auction at the moment because of coronavirus but more like a wholesaler.Reply to response from Spalding AuctionThank you for your response to my review. I totally understand that brexit issues are out of your control and didn't mean to sound so negative. I know you are all trying your best which must be very hard under these uncertain times. As I have never experienced a auction before I was a little nervous what to expect but when I saw that you are running as a wholesaler at the moment because of the coronavirus I felt more at ease and preferred this and didn't mean for this comment in my 1st review to be a criticism. Good value plants.

Visited recently after a long time away, still great personalities good selection of produce and some bargains to be had.

Lovely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff, good quality plants and flowers.

Loads of stock, well worth a visit, stock plants really good and healthy.

Great bargains , friendly staff happy to show a first timer like myself how it all works in the auction.
