Coolin View

Stayed for two nights and it was the perfect place to go from to explore the rest of Skye. We had no trouble with the parking as there aren't many rooms and everytime we came back there was always spots available. The rooms were very nice and clean and comfy with nice touches like extra blanket on the bed and throw pillows. Bathroom was small but thats to be expected and it was clean and the water was hot.

We stayed here for two nights as part of a two week vacation. A great jumping-off point for the Isle of Skye. The hotel is in a great location-short walk to restaurants and town and easy access to Isle of Skye. It's comfy/cozy, bed and bath were all fine. Great view out the window! No lift so it's a hump up to the 3rd floor if you have heavy luggage. Easy self-checkin and management responds back by email promptly. I would recommend this hotel for any vacationers!

Low priced, clean cozy rooms. We were a last minute booking in mid December. We pulled up, parked, entered the portico and booked our room online using our phone. Then we located the envelope with our key and entered our room. There are two of us so we picked room 10. The room was warm and clean, has a full size bed, a small bathroom with toilet sink and shower, a comfy chair in the living area and a desk with a padded stool, and a TV. It was only a few minute walk to the center of town for restaurants, shops, cafés and groceries. The room does not have a refrigerator or breakfast. It does offer coffee and tea. The bathroom makes a loud sound when water is flowing so either there is air in the pipes or it's a loud pump. Not sure. But, if you just need a place to crash that is clean, cozy and comfortable, Coolin View is worth a look.

When you look up Portree, you see the view of the harbor and the buildings full of character. That view is what is out your window when you stay at the Coolin View. I sat in the window and watched sun set and the next morning watched the fishermen (fisher people?) going out. I could have stayed there for hours, maybe days. The room was clean and modern.

Amazing view & location!Decent rooms although nothing exceptional. The bathrooms were awkwardly designed with mould but had flawless hot water. The beds were comfy. Rooms came with towels, a cattle and instant coffee.

Coolin View was the perfect place to stay when visiting the Isle of Sky. The Colour House Viewpoint" is easily seen and admired from their location. Awesome amenities that were well thought out and placed!"

Quaint room with all you need for an overnight or a holiday. Warm, clean, double bed. Easy online reservations and payment. Hot shower and large towels. Kettle, tea, coffee and biscuits to start your day. Two minute walk to town with restaurants. Nice views out the window. Free parking just outside Coolin View.

Fantastic location! I stayed in a twin room that was well setup and comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring Skye all day and then coming back to walk through Portree. I would definitely stay here again in the future. No issues with parking either.
